Actually, Georgia is a friend of the U.S. and they are the only former Soviet Republic that we have a defense treaty with.

They have also helped s in the War On Terrorism in general, and in Afghanistan in particular including sending grounds forces there. What has Canada done for us lately ???

That's like escaping from East Germany to North Korea.

From Wikipedia:

Georgian American relations continue to be very close and encompass multiple areas of bilateral cooperation.

As a key U.S. ally in the war on terror, Georgia was the third largest troop contributor in the Iraq War and is currently the largest per-capita contributor to the U.S. led mission in Afghanistan.

The United States for its part is actively assisting Georgia in strengthening its state institutions in face of increasing pressure from its northern neighbor Russia and has provided the country with financial assistance in excess of 3 billion dollars since 1991.

Since 2009, Georgian-American relations are streamlined by the U.S.-Georgia Charter on Strategic Partnership, which created four bilateral working groups on priority areas of democracy; defense and security; economic, trade, and energy issues; and people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

Georgia is currently a candidate for NATO membership and the United States is actively supporting its membership bid. In February 2012, it was agreed that the U.S. and Georgia will start working on a Free Trade Agreement which, if materialized, will make Georgia the only European country to have such treaty with the United States.

So what's Canada doing for the U.S.?

I've been thinking of moving to Belize the past few months.

:)

And you didn't answer my question. After what Georgia has done for us helping out on many things including the War On Terrorism, INCLUDING sending active military ground forces to both Iraq and Afghanistan, what's Canada done for the U.s. lately to show your friendship and help us out ???

Good idea! Move to a banana republic with government-run health care.

So you sold us some gasoline and sent us a bill.

The Georgians sent military troops to Afghanistan and Iraq, and put themselves in harms way and didn't send us a bill. Why don't you try emulating the good Georgians, and help us out in the War On Terror in Afghanistan like they have done ?

A higher proportion of Canadian soldiers in comparison to the total population of the country died in Afghanistan than did American soldiers. Mostly in Kandahar.

That's because your population is only about 4% of the population of the U.S. because very few people want to live in a country with an average annual snowfall of about 37 feet, and whose national flower is the icecube.

It's actually about 10% and while you may be being sarcastic in the last two points, a large number of your countrymen actually believe that.

As far as average snow goes, the largest amount occurs in the Sierra Nevada ("nevada"=snowy) Mountains in California. Arctic climates, btw, are extremely dry and receive very little annual snow.

GOOD! I'll send you some cash to get your ticket.

By the way, you can face TEN years in jail for gay sex in Belize. They are still under colonial law and homosexuality is a major crime. So, pack lightly, you're not going to need your levis and flannel shirts in prison. Blondes look so nice in orange. And your cell mate Chauncey can use your pony tail as a HANDLE.

No need to justify your beautiful country to that moron. If it is not in some white trash Arizona area, he is pointing and laughing like a kid who has candy and the other kids don't.

My Saskatoon neighbors are returning here around Halloween and I can hardly wait to see them again. Two Canadians are worth FIFTY FaFoxys.

I understand that in your area people actually look forward to the arrival of snow as a break from the dry cold.

Saakasvili has demonstrated a nearly suicidal bravery in this. The Russians invaded and effectively reconquered Georgia only a few years ago, and the Georgian Patriarch, who is completely in cahoots with Kirill of Moscow, has almost fanatical ayatolla-esque control of the emotions and psyches of the general population.

Saakasvili is an idealist who seriously wants his Country to Westernize. This makes him a target of Moscow and Orthodoxy in general.

He deserves respect and honor, and whatever help can be given.
