The trogodytes will screech and mumble (and send idiotic comments to this otherwise splendid forum) but will eventually have to amble away tail between legs and an apoplectic look on their faces.. Great things sit badly with the narrow-minded..

The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye. The more light you shine on it, the more it will contract.-- Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

"Thousands of Catholic fundamentalists gathered on Sunday 18 November in Paris to protest against the bill opening marriage and adoption to gay Citizens.

Activists of the Ukrainian women's movement, "Femen", and journalists including Caroline Fourest were attacked and some "beaten" during this event.

Romans 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:9 The commandments,“Do not commit adultery,”“Do not murder,”“Do not steal,”“Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule:“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

How can so many who like to think of themselves as Christians, get it so backward.

One of the few times Saul got it right.

The problem is that after he has caught you with that bit of sublime prose, he turns right around and begins reconstructing the old cage bars around the minds and hearts of his listeners.

Very schizophrenic by today's standards ... or a brilliant con artist playing his marks. I'd prefer to grant him the mercy of the former, but there is SO much evidence for the latter.

Christians and Muslims are "slowly" but surely becoming the same organism.

"The French demonstrations against the gay marriage plans have won support of the Vatican.

Pope Benedict told French bishops visiting the Vatican on Saturday not to be "afraid" of spreading Christian teachings.

"In the important debates about society, the voice of the church must make itself heard relentlessly and with determination," he said.

The Vatican pledged this month never to stop fighting attempts to "erase" the privileged role of heterosexual marriage, which it called "an achievement of civilization".

Same-sex relationship and marriage are totally prohibited in Islam, Christianity and all divine religions.

Islam teaches that believers should neither do the obscene acts, nor in any way indulge in their propagation"

The French demonstrations have NOT "won the support of the Vatican" !!

They were INSTIGATED BY THE VATICAN through the agency of it's various organizations.

Fundamentalism, extremism, and mob politics are ALWAYS the same destructive forces no matter what guise they assume.

The symptoms of fascist thinking are colored by environment and adapted to immediate circumstances. But always and everywhere they can be identified by their appeal to prejudice and by the desire to play upon the fears and vanities of different groups in order to gain power.

Excellent! Just lacks the quotation marks.
