$35 marriage licenses are sold by clerks in county courthouses. They don't ask about religion
.
Judges and Justices of the Peace seal marriages; sometimes for free. The Judge/Justice signs the marriage license and returns it to the county clerk; who enters the information into the courthouse's family history database. No clergy required
.
The $35 price of the marriage license qualifies the couple for the government's $467,562.00 marriage benefit package and establishes legal kinship between the two previously unrelated people

*what* a deal!
Please explain why you think you need a license in order to make a commitment in front of your friends/associates? Sure, you need one if you want the state to recognize it, but for a basic marriage, you do not.

For example, do you think people in the pre-territory days of the American frontier could not get married since there was no gov't overseeing it?

I don't know what the date is on your planet, but here on earth, it is the year 2012. And in the good ol' USA, if you don't have a marriage license/certificate from the State, you are NOT legally married.
You can be married and not be LEGALLY married. That is by definition and polygamists have to do it all of the time.

Just because the state doesn't recognize it doesn't mean it is not a marriage--if you care about he definition of words, that is.

How you synthesized THAT is a mystery, but I'll answer anyway. If you sit around day dreaming about gay sex all day, yes, you are a homosexual, whether you act on it or not.
You didn't answer the question. How do you tell if an animal is gay unless it has gay sex?

There's no way of predicting that if an animal is just possibly homosexual. What are you talking about?

If you start "treating" people for things the might do, I don't think you are going to like how it turns out.
I would hazard to guess that EVERYONE in America will be "treated" for at least one thought crime.
And that is pretending the thought crimes can be accurately assessed.
It would have to be just treatment, not any kind of punishment. It would likely save the treated from eventually being punished as well as saving possible victims.

<quoted text>And what happens if you get married (make commitment vows and have a ceremony) and don't register it with the state? Do you go to jail?
Nope.
The state simply does not recognize your marriage.
And no, the state would NOT strip anyone of their "right" to perform recognized or unrecognized weddings.
And in that case, that's hardly equal rights.

Plethysmograph testing. It's very accurate, directly measuring sexual arousal, unlike polygraphs (that are also very accurate though not as much) that indirectly measure honesty.

The test equipment is called the 'plethysmograph'. Early plethysmographs as seen in the following video were electronic; but not computerized
.
Today's computerized plethysmographs can tell how many minutes it has been since you last had sex and what role you played
.
Here's the video:

Christ, you antigay people are so goddamn dumb. I am talking, you're really, really profoundly stupid as hell. The more you try to silence gay people and the pro-gay and to make them invisible and to shut them up, the more they are going to *scream* and these are people who are VERY, VERY, VERY GOOD at taking the limelight and making huge, public issues out of what they do, so that you and YOUR KIDS get to see it in the headlines week after week.

If you were not complete dumbasses, and I mean that with every fiber of my being, you would *stop* trying to silence them and take away their rights, abso-goddamn-lutely guaranteeing that gay people will continue to *SCREECH* in ways you cannot silence, cannot stop, and cannot (and you know this, I know you know it) do anything about. Period.

Other than saying that, I have no time to review the fifty new pages in this thread. But please, "dear" antigay people, have fun trying to avoid the VERY, VERY public displays the "bad ol' gays" will continue to make of their lives, because you won't escape it, you no longer have the option of attempting to "criminalize" it, and you will be stuck with this for a very, very long time. Remember that you brought it upon yourselves, which I know you know and will never admit because without a victim's stance to cry about from your troughs like snot-plugged idiots, you basically have *nothing* but a war on pornography, which you have also *lost* for all time.

Congratulations on failing at practically everything.

Seriously.

I would venture to say society is the victim of open homosexuality, as it forces us to subject our children to it, and our consciences to it.
Society is the victim of bigotry and narrow-mindedness too.

Your children and your conscience are also subject to tinted windows, flavored toothpaste, and paperback textbooks. So? Can you demonstrate that homosexuality is "bad"? Can you show that you SHOULDN'T be "subject" to it? Could you "venture" a better explanation of what you mean?

Even if children are NEVER introduced to the subject of homosexuality, some of them WILL BE GAY. It doesn't happen just because they're "subjected" to anything, and it won't be avoided just because you shelter them from it. It doesn't work that way.

What you CAN succeed in sheltering children from, is the idea that everyone deserves equal treatment despite being different. As you shelter the children who ARE going to grow up gay, you'll be depriving them of ANY education about themselves, or any preparations of what to expect later in life (not that you'd provide very accurate information anyway). For children who AREN'T gay, you'll be teaching them that it's okay to continue to mistreat gay people, under the presumption that we are "victimizing society" simply by existing.

I don't know HOW you think you've been "victimized" simply by people being different. Perhaps you should take this case to court, and see if you can present a cogent argument that will get you any sympathy. I really doubt it. It's not really anyone else's fault if your conscience is so fragile and xenophobic.
