Oct 10, 2012 Full story: www.firstcoastnews.com 31
A University of North Florida student made an impassioned plea at a recent UNF Student Government Association meeting against having a Chick-fil-A on campus. The decision to have the restaurant on campus is stirring a debate due to politics of same-sex marriage and the expressed position of Chick-fil-A president and COO Dan Cathy. Full Story

We need more gay activists like this student. We need to be more aggressive and say NO to bigotry, discrimination, oppression, and the blatant lies of the right wingers and homophobes.

Here is the article so everyone can read it and we are not censored:

I don't think homosexuals should be having sex with children in the Chick-fil-A restrooms anymore.

The purpose of "gay activism" is to use the power of government to shut down legal private businesses?
Not that everyone didn't already know that.

There is nothing wrong with boycotting. The anti-gay do it too. I don't know why everyone sees it as a bad thing when gays decide to boycott. We get tired of the right wing lies and how they label all gays as pedophiles and other stereotypes and how they feel gays should be jailed and/or put to death or fired from their jobs, denied employment, housing, and public accommodations simply because they are gay or act on their love for a consenting adult of the same gender. I not only choose to boycott Chick-Fil-A but Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida as well because of their anti-LGBT bigotry as a city.

Here's an example of Jacksonville, FL:

Boy cotts are an American tradition since teh founding days of the republic. Duuring the so-called "Boston Tea Party", British tea was boycotted by Americans.

ALL Americans boycotted tea and switched to drinking double decaf chocolate lattes.

He doesn't want them on the campus is all. If that business had supported the KKK I'm sure people would feel black people would be right in being upset. Did you watch the speech as to why the guy is so angry? I don't support any place that thinks being gay should be a crime or falsely labels them as pedophiles or that they should not marry or have the same rights as straights. Did you know that that business donates to anti-gay groups who in turn donate to even more anti-gay extremists groups who believe in putting gays to death and support the "Kill the Gays" bill in Uganda. He said he doesn't want to do business with them. That's his right!

But when gays boycott anti-gay businesses Christians consider it a violation of their and the business's freedom of religion and freedom of speech (First Amendments). How the hell is that?! Since when is boycotting a violation of those things?

It's called the free enterprise system.

Or are you opposed to free choice in economics?

More and more companies along with more and more politicians are seeing the economic impact supporting discrimination has.

If you haven't learned that fact your parents are wasting their money keeping you in school.

NOM has been using that dodge to successfully evade voter initiative laws in several States. Heck in Maine the ethics commission still hasn't done anything about the complaint it has before it from 2009!

Anti-gay-marriage group conceals donors in Maine

http://www.topix.com/news/gay/2012/10/anti-ga...

The National Organization for Marriage’s quarterly filing with the state ethics commission indicated its political action committee raised about $250,000, which went to a group that will soon launch television ads. NOM also declined to release donors’ names in a 2009 gay-marriage referendum, when it donated $1.9 million.

Maine’s law requiring disclosure of contributors has been upheld in the courts. For now, though, the 2009 case has yet to be resolved with the ethics commission.

Matt McTighe, campaign manager for Mainers United for Marriage, which supports the new referendum asking voters to legalize same-sex marriage, said NOM should be required to release the donor list.‘‘Maine voters deserve to know who is trying to influence this election,’’ he said.‘‘Maine law is clear, and NOM refuses to follow the same rules that every other campaign in the state must abide by.’’

Voters repealed Maine’s gay-marriage law in 2009, but it’s on the ballot again in the Nov. 6 election.
