The reason behind prejudices such as racism and homophobia have been contributed to a wide range of factors, but a new study suggests that the root of sexual prejudice is directly related to the fear some people have of unwanted sexual advances by someone of the same gender, reports the Huffington Post .

I am not scared of homosexuals neither am I intolerant of them. I simply recognise that they have serious mental health issues.<

And which medical school did YOU graduate from, oh bright one? Or did you get your "diploma" from a gumball machine?

Being GLBT is NOT a "mental illness", but homophobia IS. There is therapy available for homophobia. Get some.

I'm gonna sort of agree with you a bit. I am not sure if just hating gays should be called "phobia" For some reason, "Old Yeller" comes to mind, that old sad Disney movie where the big yellow dog got "hydrophobia" (rabies) and they had to shoot him at the end.

I must do some grammatical research to figure out a new buzz word for gay haters. Actually, how about just that term? Does THAT describe your feelings better, just 'gay hater', more ACCURATE for your taste?

Is that your professional opinion, doctor? I didn't think so. And YOU, closet queen, are LIVING PROOF that homophobia exists.

ego-dystonic homosexuality n.
A psychosexual disorder in which an individual has persistent distress associated with same-sex preference and is unable to initiate or maintain heterosexual relationships, usually experiencing a strong need to change the behavior or, at least, to alleviate the distress associated with the homosexual preference.

Ever been spat upon, or had ROCKS thrown at you for YOUR sexual orientation, sugarlips? My wife and I have, and the offenders claim to be "Christians" from Eastern Europe. Two of these "Christian" idiots MURDERED a gay man simply because of his sexual orientation in Sacramento. One of the COWARDS skipped the country and is hiding in the Ukraine. The other one at least turned himself in and did jail time.

I will ask you this: What medical school did YOU graduate from, that you refuse to understand that homosexuality is NOT a mental 'disease'? Homophobia IS a mental illness, and you can get counselling for it. Please get some. You'd be much happier.

I think it's because they were asked too many questions about scripture that they had no answers for.(giggles).

I've been asking for over a week now, "Whatcha gonna do when Judge O Mania runs wild on you", then I post Matt. 25:31-46. So far no one had been able to find the Scriptural get out of jail free card that would give them an out on that passage.

Perhaps I've stumbled upon something with that. I'd like for the GLBT community to really start hammering away on that passage and the ideas in it.

Do civil unions really do what the anti gays said they would do?

Well well well. Looks like the claims by the bigots that civil unions will do the same thing as marriage is unraveling in KY.

Exclusive: Will a lesbian couple be forced to testify against each other?

Don't be fooled by the LBGT brainwashing agenda. There is absolutely no scientific proof that homosexuality is something people are born with. The tactic of branding people who are against the learned behavior of homosexuality as "homophobes" is an old tactic. They want you to see straight people as "abnormal" and make you think homosexuality is normal.

It doesn't take a genius to see that our bodies did not evolve to support same sex intercourse and therefore it is easy to conclude that homosexuality is not something the human body should engage in.

Oh goody you're back.

Fasten your seatbelts folks. It's gonna get real.

Have you found that Get out of Hell free card yet we discussed as it relates to:

Matthew 25:31-46
New International Version (NIV)
The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right,‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him,‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply,‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left,‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer,‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply,‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

and the parable in Luke about the Good Samaritan?
The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.“Teacher,” he asked,“what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied.“How do you read it?”

27 He answered,“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and,‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied.“Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus,“And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said:“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper.‘Look after him,’ he said,‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied,“The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him,“Go and do likewise.”

Not judging just asking a question.

According to whom, dear? You? Reality check, the consensus among those studying causality is that you don't have a clue as to what you are ranting about. Sexual orientation, heterosexuality, homosexuality bisexuality and asexuality is the result of combinations of biology and genetics.
Rex wrote:

Because such folk often exhibit a rather paranoid fear of homosexuals, such as you are doing right now. We're all out to "brainwash" you, huh? Talk about a completely irrational fear.
Rex wrote:

Not all straight folk, just looney tunes like you and yes we are a normal and perfectly natural variation of the species, whether you like it or not.

Buttercup, you not being bright enough to understand how sex between two people of the same sex works only proves that you are an idiot, not evidence that homosexuality ain't right.

It's not hateful to refer to same sex attraction as a mental dysfunction, unless I suppose you have something against people with mental problems?

maybe not hateful, but entirely incorrect and without any scientific justification.

if that's how you want to lead your life, well, then, i suppose just carry on. but we'll see you for what you are.
