Though our government is supposed to be secular, the homosexuals attempt to spread the belief that society is also supposed to be secular. That is one of the grave dangers that homosexuality presents to society. Homosexuality is a very destructive force.

The gravest danger to society is not people who happen to be attracted to members of the same gender, but those religious zealots who would impose their particular group's rules on the rest of society.

No wars have been fought over LGBT issues. Countless wars have been fought over religious battles for supremacy.

Those seeking LGBT legal rights have not targeted opponents for death. Religious groups throughout history have targeted LGBT people, and other people they considered outsiders, and tortured them and often put them to death.

Today many terrorist groups base their whole purpose on pushing their particular religious goals (usually wanting to be the One True Religion controlling everyone). There are NO terrorist groups that are based on LGBT issues.

Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat the mistakes of those who came before.

"No wars have been fought over LGBT issues."
True, no shooting wars have been fought over LGBT issues. However, the homosexuals are indeed waging war against society, using coercion and misinformation.

Malarky! If we used coercion and misinformation; we would be losing ground like the fundamentalists are doing

Just because you have a homosexual daughter doesn't mean you have to start a crusade for homosexuality. It is your lack of spititual faith that opened the door for evil during your wife's gestation period.

You have homosexuals confused with atheists. Sadly many homosexuals are religious. The vast majority in fact.

"As gays come out of the closet, are Christians meant to swap and go hide back in closets of their own?" Lyons asked on his blog. "This zero-sum game is the most un-American of games."

Funny how he didn't mind it when gays were being pushed into those closets. Frigging hypocrite. Nobody is making christians go into the closet; we just arent letting them interfere with our rights anymore.

Public institutions which are either governmental or quasi-governmental in natures should be secular.

Religion is a bastion of discrimination, falsehood and lies. You have only to look to history to see that statement is absolutely true.

Religion - all religion - has done far more harm to the world than it has ever done good.

There are religious organizations that do good in the world but they are the exception not the rule and most, if not all of them, come with the string of preaching their version of reality.

Religion is not altruistic - if it were it would carry more weight and it's argument would be more cogent.

Religion dictates - it is the enemy of freedom.
Religion is used to justify atrocities - it is the enemy of peace.
Religion divides - it is the enemy of harmony.

Yes you guessed it - I'm a secular humanist.

WTF

the problem is with all of us straight couples who are responsible for breeding those homosexuals that earn your contempt.

Your observation is vacant....gays aren't asking to propagate the species and populate the earth.

<quoted text>Is everyone involved in your horrible hate based radical homosexual cause an anti-Christian bigot? That's the impression you haters make here.
You're demonstrating the utter depth of your ignorance again. There are many Christian LGBT people, and plenty of Christians who support LGBT equality.

Here are a few well-known Christians who support LGBT rights just as an example:

US Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong (author of numerous books about Christianity)

Rev. Martin Luther King's widow, Coretta Scott King, was a vocal supporter of LGBT rights.

In Canada, the largest Protestant denomination (the United Church of Canada) not only supports LGBT rights but offers same-sex marriage ceremonies performed in churches just like heterosexual weddings.
ASU grad wrote:
Your hate and malicious ignorance seems to blind you. Have you never been to a faith based hospital? How many hospitals have you homofascists founded?
In Ohio (where I am right now) the Cleveland Clinic chain is really popular for healthcare services -- lots of hospitals, etc.-- and is considered to be one of the top 4 medical providers in the USA. It was founded as a secular medical provider. I'm sure there are plenty of others.
ASU grad wrote:
Obviously, you've never been to a university, but in the Western World, universities are a product of Christianity.
I guess you've not heard about Oxford or Cambridge. They're the two oldest universities in the English world. They were both founded and running before any religious groups got around to acknowledging them or starting to set up a presence on their campuses.
ASU grad wrote:
Face reality. An overwhelming majority of Americans adhere to Christianity. Obama's bigotry against anyone with mainstream Christian values is part of his legacy forever.
How is Obama being bigoted towards Christians? That's a claim that needs pretty clear proof if you want anyone to believe it.

Obama is Christian. He was just sworn in for his second term of office with his hand on a Christian Bible. After the swearing-in ceremony today he went with his family to a Christian church where they were celebrating in honour of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

Why is it that those who refuse to recognize and accept gay people are the very ones who whine they are being discriminated against because society refuses to go along with their antediluvian views. I really don't care how they feel. They've done more to keep discrimination and bigotry alive so they can just go to hell. They have no "right" to expect anyone to go along with their bigotry.
