Ironic since the name "Liberia" is an invented word meaning "LIBERTY" and that the country was founded by slaves freed from the U.S. Humans know no limit to hipocrisy.

What is somewhat disturbing is that Christians and Muslims actually were able to get along to protest this. Perhaps WWIII, which may also be known as the great North-South war, will see sub-Saharan Africa in alliance with the Muslim countries, North Korea and the former Soviet states against the rest of the world.

However, I think the cause itself will be more likely to have to do with climate changes and rising sea levels causing human displacement.

Not wishful thinking as I will probably be dead by the time it happens. But Fundamentalism is becoming strong on the one hand and yet marginalized on the other. It is very scary and I really do think it will result in war when combined with economics and climate change issues later in the century. We already have one country in the world that is planning to remove some of it population to another country due to climate change (Kiribati) and the Maldives are not far behind. These are small nations but eventually the sea level will rise to cause massive flooding of Bangladesh (it is already happening in the island parts of that country) and resultant refugees. Combine fights over space with religious strife and you get a very scary set-up for the year 2075 or so.

This is why we need to work on education, recycling/alternative resources, value diversity and to be smart with what we have. We as a people can't be over come by religious ignorance and intolerance, it offers nothing but fear and the false promise of security. You have a duty to preserve this earth for future generations and to stay positive.
