Log Cabin Republicans Miffed Over Sexy LGBT Targeted Obamacare Ad

Dec 22, 2013 Full story: EDGE 89

In a move that many on the left would consider a desperate attempt to appeal to anti-gay conservatives within their own party, today Log Cabin Republicans issued a press release denouncing an online video PSA by Out 2 Enroll which aimed to promote awareness among LGBT people about the Affordable Care Act.

I think you'd better care. This video is making the rounds, and if you don't see the problem, that's pathetic. That video makes gays look like depraved, highly-sexualized six-year-olds. Is that really the image you want to have in people's minds? The timing couldn't be worse that they see this while they are processing the hoopla over Phil Robertson. For the record, a heterosexual video of this type would be disturbing to me, especially to think that government money (taxes) might have been used to produce this thing. Where is GLAAD when you need them? They should be shouting to the rooftops over this kind of stereotyping of gays, especially the s*m*n-rimmed a**hole in the front of the gingerbread house. Or is it too close to the truth for protest? Frankly, I am grateful for this kind of exposure. It is adding to a pivotal moment.

And the Victoria Secret Christmas special was all about Christian values! The video by Out 2 Enroll was for a certain demographic. Get over yourself. You are becoming very dramatic.

No actually they didn't. Someone wrote the article somewhere and the ROBOBLOGGER started the thread because the LGBT pings its keyword list. The people that used to actually find and post stories were shown the door by TOPIX on October 18. That's why the quality has dropped considerably.

No the pathetic thing is the puritanical crap that's coming out of your mouth, this commercial is no worse that the one Kmart used. All the rest is something you need to discuss with your psychologist.

First you say it's disturbing even if they had been heterosexuals ; that gays should protest , etc . ; Then you turn around and say you're grateful for this kind of exposure and so on ; It all sounds like the usual holier-than-thou , malicious , hypocritical cant , disguise it as you may .

What the idiot hasn't seen are the other promotion awareness videos made for other young 20's-30's demographics. There is a rap musician one, one for college students, one for young newly wed straights and so on. That is what happens when one "fixates" on something that really should have no affect what so ever on his existence.

The only thing disgusting about the video is that they could have at least actually coreographed it. I guess the people who are all hot and bothered over the ladder scene didn't notice that the guy looked at his butt as though he was thinking "I hope he doesn't fart".

I think we all know by now that the only thing upsetting LCR is that Obamacare might actually work. If they really thought the ad was so terrible, they should be rubbing hands in glee and throwing in a couple of disclaimers about wasting government resources.

These are Republicans talking. The only thing they could possibly find wrong with sexual innuendo is that it doesn't go far enough.

You would be. Your little anti-gay tantrums that you throw here, like a 2 year old desperately in need of a nap and diaper change are just that: TANTRUMS.

Now, run along and play with your Legos. The grownups want to talk, and you're interrupting us.

Did the taxpayers pay for the Victoria's Secret Christmas special?
