If I had a son that turned gay I wouldn't change my stance on homo-marriage either. What if you found out your child grew up to be a murderer, what are you all of a sudden going to start saying murder isn't wrong? Right is right and wrong is wrong no matter what.

Glad to know that someone has a handle on just what is "right" and what is "wrong." You are obviously the last and final arbiter of right and wrong (either that, or you are parroting words that have been ingrained into your mind since infancy by people who had no more clue than anyone else and who also were parroting words with which they were indoctrinated.

Just be aware that not everyone agrees with you on this. I don't consider your equating of murder and homosexuality to be correct.

I guess you'd just as soon have a murdering son as a gay one.

Choosing his political career over his son is just wrong.

Dear, you might even get the resident atheists to pray that you never be to blame for ANY child brought into this world, gay, straight, or anywhere in between. No child deserves a closed-minded and hateful fool for a parent, even if you are nothing more than a biological contributor.

The problem for the GOPasaurs is they claimed the sky would fall, society would be destroyed, incest & bestiality would be next, etc, if gays can marry.

It's not like they said they just personally oppessed it.

They've pretty much backed themselves into a corner.

The truth that these idiots that still oppose equality don't seem to get is that NONE of their dire, end-of-the-world claims have or will ever come true, and since more and more gay couples are getting legally married every day, it's getting harder and harder to continue to claim that there's any legitimate harm done by recognizing equal rights.

So it just boils down to, "Since I don't want it for myself, and I have no ability to put myself in someone else's shoes or in any way be respectful of other people's freedom, I'm comfortable depriving YOU of it, too!"

And, hopefully, that position will be less and less popular as the older fools die off and the younger, more enlightened voters take over from them.

True, but it's a lot harder for them to simply admit they lied about it just to keep us from having equal rights.

Getting "married" to a member of the same gender is like getting "married" to your brother/sister.

I think it's actually worse than that. I don't think most of these idiots believe they ever lied. I think they truly believe that evil, horrible, earth-shattering things will happen if gay couples can legally marry and take full responsibility for each other.

Whatever the case, the bottom line is still the same. None of them have the intelligence to analyze the situation and really work out who is effected and what the long-term results will be. They let their insane fear and fantasies go from Sam and Bill down the street sharing the same health insurance plan to a world where straight people no longer exist and everyone is so busy have gay sex orgies that mankind dies out in one generation.

It's not only completely insane, but it should be damned offensive to straight people to hear those idiots all claiming that the only thing keeping them from abandoning their heterosexuality and embracing the full gay lifestyle is the fact that civil marriage is banned. Why aren't straight people more outraged at such characterizations? Have they never considered what these idiots are really saying??
