The "Full Faith and Credit" clause of the U.S. Constitution requires each state to legally recognize the acts of all other states. There are no exceptions.

And if Utah is dopey enough to ask SCOTUS to intervene, I bet that SCOTUS says "no".

Since every single state court and federal court has ruled against people like this, their constant appeals, which will apparently be to the bitter end, I think demonstrates that they are motivated solely by animus and nothing else. I don't think the KKK'ers and other racist NUTS carried on this long or this hard, when racial segregation was outlawed.

No exceptions? Really? Are you sure? You mean if I name just one, then you're wrong?

How about right in the text of the article itself?

Careful. This is a trap.

Again, Utah may get SCOTUS to grant them their stay request, but all it's doing is DELAYING the inevitable.........the State of Utah will NOT prevail on appeal and Marriage Equality will happen.....all this is is wasting taxpayer's money that could be better spent on real issues!!!

Yeah, what's up with "threatening to ask"? Do they expect gay people to start shaking in their boots?

I believe the KKK is still carrying on about segregation. There is just so few of them these days that they don't get much attention on the evening news these days. But bigotry is alive and well at the KKK. And of course several black organizations have sprung up who agree with the KKK in wanting a state where only blacks can live. Who would have thought that racist blacks and racist whites would be in total agreement about something.

Now if either of them gets their white state or black state, how long would it be before homosexuals would be taken to the border and cast out? About as fast as Dianne Feinstein could say 'spy on them'.

Even some of the KKKristians are getting tired of all the petty bickering and some are saying it's no longer worth fighting against. Just like they did when women wanted to vote and American's wanted to drink, the government just gave up. Good. There never should have been laws limiting the choices individuals can make when choosing who they want to associate with. Laws preventing you from associating with those you want to associate with and laws that force you to associate with those you do not want to associate with are both wrong. Each of us should be free to make those personal decisions for ourselves.

Yep! It's got to be all political grandstanding and trying to look good in front of the hate-based donor base. The "you can't get married because our religion forbids it" train has LONG left the station.

Then they should just CHANGE their religious rules !:)(The Roman Catholics did that about 900 years ago when they changed their rules and said: "Hey priests ! No more getting married anymore !")

They're "threatening" the use of SCOTUS??? Then there is no threat at all. We are not frightened by the rule of law; we are emboldened by it.

These moronic Mormons are trying to be bullies without understanding how it works when you're doing it with words rather than bats and lead pipes. They've successfully and gleefully bullied so many gays in the past--both in their churches and in their conversion programs--that they expect us to lay down weeping, begging, "No. Not the SUPREME COURT. Please, anything but that."

Is it any wonder their head angel is named Moroni?
