So interesting they started that commercial with a baby sucking on a bottle when the WHOLESOME way to feed a baby is breastfeeding. Guess they didn't want to underscore a way to feed the baby that gay men can't do. So, they show an unwholesome way. I think that is a symbol for what men are missing in the parenting department - a mother care and nutrition.

As usual, SniKKKers, what you're missing is common sense and the ability to stay on topic.

Would they let a Nazi group or KKK group march as well ?

I'm not sure allowing them to march with us is such a good idea.

Amongst other things, it IS a civil rights parade. And so allowing a group to march who is not only vocally against protecting our civil rights, but ACTIVELY WORKING to take away our civil rights, strikes me as being against our best interests.

And Bill Donohue is as hateful a NUT and as loathsome as the recently-and-Thank-God-he's-de parted Fred Phelps. And as Bill Donohue is vocally OPPOSED to the RIGHTS that the U.S. Constitution protects, he is also UN-AMERICAN.

And to demonstrate what a NUT this A-hole is, here's a clip of him arguing with Chris Cuomo maintaining that "love has nothing to do with marriage". "It's an odd idea" he says.

AND...... this HYPOCRITE uber-Catholic is DIVORCED !!! Since when do Catholics believe its ok to divorce ?! What a pos this guy is !

Marriage licenses actually don't have a check box inquiring as to whether you love your intended spouse and/or how much.

Anyway, what could be MORE "American" than allowing the Catholic League to march in the parade, particularly one dedicated to civil rights? You don't want to exclude him, do you? People like Donahue are your neighbors-they work with you, shop at places you shop, etc. Why exclude them?

What better way to demonstrate we are simply better people than the anti-gays.

Kudos on making a wise decision.

This is not inclusive; it's an appalling lack of self-respect. It would be one thing to allow the Catholic League to march in the parade, but to allow them to do so while carrying an anti-gay banner is disgusting. This makes no more sense than giving the KKK a place at a black-pride rally.

That's just what I said.

If they let them march, hopefully they'll have bare-assed drag queens in front of them and bare-breasted Dykes On Bykes behind them. LOL

But, people like Donahue live among you. They're your neighbors; you work with them, you shop at the same places, your kids go to school together, etc.

Don't be on the wrong side of history by excluding them.

It gives the crowd the opportunity to BOOO! them with a deafening roar throughout the length of the parade
.

You know all the lgbt and ally Catholics are going to march surrounding him. It will be his gayest experience ever...since attending reparative/celibacy summer camp for Catholics struggling with, well, you know.

And the Pride organizers said he may carry a sign saying, "Str8 is Great," but specified they won't let him carry hate based signs.

Which he will obviously try to do so then he can whine about censorship, exclusion and bigotry [sic].

I'd love to be at that parade, just to watch what happens when that group walks by.

For a quick cheapie float he could borrow the popemobile to prevent the crowd from ripping off his speedo for a souvenir

What would REALLY be epic if Pope Francis himself joined the NYC Pride Parade

Not everyone can breastfeed or be breastfed. I was one of the original formula babies, couldn't digest cow's milk. Get a life, and please, grow UP.

If that's there, I can't find it. The article says "The Catholic League will be allowed to march with an anti-gay-marriage banner." The Straight is Great quote is from aptly named parade organizer Studinski, but I see no requirement that the catholics use it or refrain from carrying hate-based signs. Unfortunately.

IF they follow through with their banner, I have no doubt that they will, let them be met with silence.

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Oh, well, this will give some of those closeted Catholic boys an excuse to participate in the parade. "But, Ma, I promise to hold on to Father Callahan's hand the entire time ..."

I agree. I have no problem with them marching and I'm a gay man.

I also salute the NYC Pride people for making such a bold and inclusive decision. If these people want to appear in public and promote their views I have no problem with that, I just hope they accept what may happen as a result; they may end up losing many friends once their faces get plastered all over the news.

First off why are you discussing a different story? How many times did Dad and Mom drop you on your head on purpose anyway?

So in your world anyone who doesn't breastfeed is evil?

It's sort of hard for an adoptive mother to produce breast milk you know.

Catholic League Calls For Boycott of Guiness

In a move similar in effectiveness to yelling at the wind or attempting to stop the Earth's rotation, Catholic League president Bill Donohue is trying to get the Irish to stop drinking Guiness.
