All you have to do, in a barbaric country like that, is to be thought of as gay, and you too will be killed. Good luck on your next vacation!

Oh Junior. You better get off your mom's computer before she catches you and makes you take off her dress.

Rum. As far as I know, that's the only export I know of. And I wouldn't go on any cruise stopping there.

Have you ever been there before? If not, then you know not what you are talking about, so I suggest either way that you STFU!

Goes to show how LITTLE you know about Jamaica IF you have to ask if Jamaica has products.

You do know where a lot of the food was coming from when the America Midwest and other parts of America was going through a devastating drought? If you answered Jamaica, you likely are from an American farming background, that was bailed out by hard working Jamaican farmers, like some of my relatives, that have no problem with Americans or LGBT people.

The murder of this businessman was tragic, HOWEVER, the MOTIVE for the murder was not initially deemed to be one of a hate crime. I believe the original circumstances of the attack was surrounding money, or a deal gone sour. I read up on this incident a week before it was discovered that this businessman was gay. I'm sure that if the murderer was a homophobe, the murderer would not have attracted attention by burning down the house and then trying to flee from the scene in the victim's car!

Let me try to pull up the article that I originally read on this matter...

http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/Margarita...

Okay...now, after reading this article, I see that it likely was a domestic dispute...domestic hinting at the fact that it likely WASN'T a hate crime, and that the burning of the house, the stabbing and the stealing of the car, was something PERSONAL, likely from a failed relationship or argument, rather than a homophobe that would travel all the way up to this man's house, in hopes of killing him, burning down his house, stealing his car, and likely getting caught while doing something of this nature that was bound to bring about a lot of attention, and leave a lot of forensic evidence around the crime scene.

Don't mean to come off as blunt and harsh, however, IF a homophobe wanted to kill Dean Moriah, they would have stalked him, and then they would have shot him after he left an event or something...they may break into his home, though they would not stab him to death, and burn his house down in the same instant! Just saying...I know quite a bit about Jamaica, considering that I'm Jamaican, and just came from Jamaica about a week and a half ago...

Should have done that in 2012 when you in America had that massive drought...but eating is more important than ethics when plagues befall you in the good ol' U S of A, right Dub? KMT!

Uncalled for comment, Franz! No reason to use that word in any comments of yours, especially after a tragic death of a man, in which it has been revealed AFTER THE FACT/MURDER that this man likely was gay...

Makes me wonder if Dean Moriah registered with J-FLAG or something, and that is how this story ended up coming out with this particular twist, because otherwise, how come it took so long for this news to make it to the LGBT community blogosphere???

However, it USUALLY is the LGBT locals in Jamaica that are killing and assaulting each other, and sometimes other LGBT tourists...so I guess if you say that you are gay and you are trolling about in Jamaica, your fate may be meted against you from an LGBT individual down there in Jamaica, as opposed to a heterosexual person down there...

But you already KNEW that, didn't you Bri-Bri...(give your head a shake now!)
