Since this man was black and gay, it seems that the lamestream media, nor just about anyone else, cares about this.

I do think the media is paying attention. Clarksdale is on a downward spiral. This is the tip of the iceberg that will hopefully reveal all the cover ups and corruption.

Maybe you should call Jesse and Al i bet they can organize a march and demand justice.Lets face it the media can't chase every story that involves a black queer. It's really not major news worthy so what do you really want them to do about it?

What is news worthy? Cute little girls getting kidnapped? Sorry you don't feel this is news worthy. Thank god you don't make the "rules". And if so many black queers are involved in something which makes the media chase them, maybe you need to stop and do some investigation regarding hate crimes and prejudice.

Im sure the news reported this when it happened. My point is the media can't cover every murder for days on end unless they want to throw the race card around like they did when Tampon Martin was killed in self defense. If they make a arrest and the killer is a black man it will make the nightly news one more time.If they arrest anyone other than a black person the media will ride it like a tital wave for weeks on end throwing the race card faster than a speeding bullet. That's when Jesse and Al will jump in head first demanding justice and that's prejudice at its finest. Let's face it if a black kills a black they don't say squat, and like it or not you know it's the damn truth if you can bring yourself to admit it.As far as hate crimes go every crime is a hate crime. If a white kills a black person you call it a hate crime if whites kill whites or blacks kill blacks you just call it another murder.Don't lecture me on hate crimes and prejudice until you are able to stop being prejudice yourself and start calling all murders hate crimes not just the ones that you pick to be hate crimes.

The family of the slain candidate has hired the very same law firm that represents the Trayvon Martin family-its all about money, nothing more. They have the murderer in custody but somehow that's not 'justice' or their perverted sense of justice.

They are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill and bilk someone out of money-just like the Martins. This country is a sad place anymore.

I think George Zimmerman is guilty of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin.

Mr Zimmerman had no choice except to use deadly force when Tampon Martin tried to bash his head in.The only thing Mr Zimmerman is guilty of is saving his own life from a thug dead set on harming him.

We'll see what the judge and jury in teh case decide.

Mr. Zimmerman had no business following and harrassing Trayvon Martin in teh first place. By all acoounts, Trayvon Martin was just walking down the street minding his own business.

If Mr. Zimmerman DID think that Trayvon Martin was up to no good, than he should have called teh police. By all accounts, it is MR. ZIMMERMAN who initiatiated teh confrontation and then killed Trayvon Martin.

Are you going to learn how to spell "the" any time soon?

Once is acceptable as a typo, 4 times.... well, think about turning on your spell checker. 7 mistakes in that short post makes you appear to be ignorant.

As for Zimmerman, it is alleged, not fact, that he initiated the confrontation.

BTW, Zimmerman DID call the police. It would seem you are not well acquainted with the "facts" of the case.

Yes, I'm well aware of the "the and teh" problem. I don't know why I almost always write it incorrectly like that. I noticed that a few years ago, and just got tired of constantly correcting it, so I gave up. I can't waste my time correcting it every single time.

And if that is the biggest fault that one can find with my posts, I'l live with that and sleep well at night.

Now as far as Zimmerman is concerned, there seems to be no dispute that Zimmerman initiated the confrontation. He should NOT have been following Trayvon Martin in the first place. And I am certainly aware that the he calle dteh police and that they were on their way, which is even MORE REASON, he should have backed off and waited for the police to arrive.

We're not going to try the case here, nor will it be tried in teh press. But as far as what is publicly known about the case, it seems clear to me that Zimmerman had no business following Trayvon Martin in teh first place. Zimmerman is responsible for the confrontation and Trayvon Martin's death.

A judge and jury will decide who is criminally responsible for the death of Trayvon Martin.

I snipped your post for brevity.

You live in a city that has a population that is less than a four block area in an inner city.

Have you ever lived in an area such as the one where Zimmerman lives?

Been to Harlem? The projects in Chicago, Joliet, or any other area where 6 out of 8 blacks wearing hoodies are gang bangers, probably carrying a gun?

You may consider it racial profiling but the 540 victims killed in Chicago last year would disagree.

Look at the crime rates for Sanford, FL. Much higher than the state average. Perhaps Zimmerman, as a Neighborhood Watch Commander, was well aware of that. Perhaps that is what drove his suspicions. I know that, based on my personal experience, I'd be damned suspicious of anyone with a hoodie pulled up over their head in a gated community.

You say we're not going to try the case here, but you've already done so in admitting you believe him to be guilty.

I was born in Brooklyn, and lived in New York for 50+ years until recently. About 16 months ago, I moved from New York to southern Arizona, 60% of teh reason being the weather, and 40% of teh reason being the taxes.

I've known many black people in my life. Some good. Some not so good, and a couple REALLY bad.(I could also say teh same exact thing about the white people I've known).

The proper place for Zimmerman's innocence or guilt to be decided is in a court of law. My point was totally overlooked.

I think it is very sickening to play public emotion for monetary gain. It's almost evil and that's what these so called parents of Martin have done and it is what the family of the slain Mayoral candidate plan to do. Doesn't matter that someone died, just show them the money. That's where this country is today, sadly.

His sexuality was not even an issue until after his death. He was not openly gay. And guess what: Clarksdale has had a black mayor for what , like 20 years! So what's the big conspiracy here? Sounds to me like people are just trying to make up something to get media attention. I'm sorry this happened, but this wasn't some new kind of lynching. Get on with living.
