Bet he tried to pick up a straight guy and that is why he was beaten. Homosexuals will never learn dicks are for vaginas

The victim didn't offer any proof of his claim.
I could say that I was attacked because I'm blonde.
Would that grant the assault "hate-crime" status?

More remains to be seen. However, when someone accosts a person outside a known gay bar, lures him to the alley and then beats him up, I would say that there is reason to be suspicious.

Particularly since the guy was from out of town--not likely to have beefs with anyone in the neighborhood.

You can tell a Kentuckian by looking at him?
Further, the victim was not lured to the alley -- he was outside smoking in the alley when approached.

Said he was outside smoking. The entrance is not in the ally, but on the corner.

I have never seen the man but the article says he's from Kentucky--and that the two who asked for help with their car were strangers.

Also says he was unconscious in the ally for an hour or more--suggesting that he was removed from where the smokers hang out.

What is your explanation? Why do you think he was beaten up?

A lone, easy target.

What was the motivation in this incident?

Corncob pipe might come in handy for a gay Kentuckian.

Smokers outside of bars are far from lone targets.

Don't be silly.
Anyone out alone, particularly after sunset, is a potential target for criminals.

Note the elderly, white gentleman in the example I referenced above.

Why do you assume that he was alone?

No one came to his aid.
Are you suggesting that gay bar patrons are p#ssies?

I believe the narrative is that they asked the guy for help with their car--and then he went with them and was beaten up.

The victim's details are non-specific.

However, the police intend to review the security camera footage from outside the bar...meaning either no other patron accompanied the victim to help the alleged perpetrator, or no one other patron helped the victim if he was, in fact, beaten on the spot.

Only a true idiot would accompany a stranger alone outside of a bar after sunset.

Apparently not an isolated incident. BRAVO put out a bulletin listing a number of similar recent incidents outside a number of gay bars.
