Chris Christie's Legal Position on Gay Marriage Is Pure Nonsense

There are 7 comments on the www.paramuspost.com story from Aug 5, 2013, titled Chris Christie's Legal Position on Gay Marriage Is Pure Nonsense. In it, www.paramuspost.com reports that:

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s administration filed a brief last week defending the state’s 2006 Civil Union Act, which grants gay couples all the benefits of marriage yet bars them from actually getting married. The brief is Christie’s first official legal statement on same-sex marriage. Given his apparent aspiration to be the next Republican nominee for president, it is especially too bad that the brief also may be the most incoherent defense of heterosexual supremacy yet. That’s saying something in an era in which lawyers have tied themselves in logical pretzels to defend indefensible anti-gay laws. Even by that low standard, the brief reads like a student paper written during an all-nighter. You’d think an aspiring president would take the task more seriously.

The New Jersey Commission already made a report back in 2008 on why Civil Unions DON'T work........Christie can kiss his chances for a Presidential run down the drain.......and his position has already been debunked!!!!

I mean really.....blame the Feds because they won't recognize 2nd class unions as marriages......this is what Brown vs The Board of Education was basically ALL about!!!

Actually, I meant the Brown vs The Board of Education because it stated that Separate, but Equal is NOT Equal.......Christie is stating exactly the same thing by blaming the Federal Government for not recognizing Civil Unions as Marriages because THEY AREN'T equal and all one has to do is read the Commission's report from 2008 to see why!!!

Please read Brown vs The Board of Education. This is basically what the ruling had to do with:
separate educational facilities are inherently unequal."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_v._Board_o...

Governor Christie is basically saying that Civil Unions in New Jersey is equal to marriage and therefore it is the Federal governments fault that Gay and Lesbian couples/families are not treated the same!!!

Sorry, but I didn't live in the South......but I did live in a predominately Black neighborhood in the City of Oakland in the late 60's!!!
