A surprising victory, but only the first step. There are 2 more to go.

The Gov has requested an emergency stay from the appeals court.

If that fails, he'll ask for an emergency stay from the state supreme court.

Still waiting for that economic 'boom' ssm is supposed to create despite the fact we are actually going into further debt because of it.

Actually every state with marriage equality has seen an economic surge because of it. The fact legislators are spending that extra money faster than it comes in is another issue entirely.

Just think how much FURTHER in debt your state would be without all those same-sex couples coming in to get married. You know how the gays like to spend money!

Unfortunately Christie only needs to convince one of the 32 judges on the appeals court or one of the 7 justices on the Supreme Court to get his stay- likely one he appointed.

If Christie wants to be President he should shut up about gay marriage and start reading 'Democrats for Geniuses'

If this succeeds, NJ becomes #14 to officially sanction marriage equality.

Still pending for 2013- Hawaii, Illinios, & New Mexico.

That could take us to 17 states this year, with another 6 states in the 9th circuit likely in 2014.

After that we wait for the courts in MI, OH, VA, & PA.
