Poll: Majority Supports Path to Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants

Nov 14, 2012 Full story: KVOR-AM Colorado Springs 1,475

Most Americans support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, an issue that may be high on the agenda of newly re-elected President Obama and the 113th Congress, given the increased importance of nonwhites -- including Hispanic voters -- in the nation's political equation.

Nothing has changed. The simple law of supply and demand still applies. If they had no work, they would have no food. They can't collect welfare. They wouldn't be here.

Get off your ass and go take an economics class fool.

Are you really that much of an idiot? He already told you he is Hispanic. But that's one thing about you. You just don't listen to others unless you can find something trivial to dispute. OOPS, there's another ad hominum.

Ever heard of Nortenos and Surenos? How about Mexicans vs. Central Americans? Puerto Ricans vs. Cubans? Hispanics hate one another with a passion. Somehow being born here makes you better. Being a white Spaniard makes you better. You don't know anything of what you are saying.

I spent 20 years in an auto factory.

We had 2 different treatment plants, one for processing the over spray from the paint booths, the other for processing the sewage discharge. That was the "WasteWater" section.

I worked non-union, management and union, during my course of employment there.

Had you understood my reference, you might not have responded with "very good."

Wastewater = effluent = sewage.

Who, in their right mind, would give any credence to someone that calls themselves sewage? Have you no self-esteem at all?

You might want to reconsider your screen name.

negative I love all Americans and legal immigrants who played by the rules to get here. Rewarding illegals with amnesty will no doubt cause another illegal alien tsunami. Oh and you do realize that your a part of your parents plan to force my country to give them citizenship wright? If I rob a bank because I need to feed and pay my mortgage because I couldn't find a job In this economy will a judge have mercy on me? No he/she wouldn't have no mercy and probably lock my ass up for a very long time and I'm an American. Point is if Americans are punished accordingly for thier crimes then illegals shouldn't even be allowed the right to even speak in public in this country.

I read an article that said a majority of Americans approve of amnesty for the 12-20 million illegal aliens.

My question is why would Americans want to increase the voting block of Hispanic voters by 12-20 Million?

And why would anyone want to grant amnesty to 12-20 Million illegal aliens that ignored our immigration laws?

It cheapens our American Citizenship and is a slap in the face to the immigrants in other countries waiting to enter here the legal way!

Immigrant group balks at Obama reform wording

By Liz Goodwin, Yahoo! News |

An advocacy group for young immigrants expressed concern Wednesday after President Barack Obama, at his first press conference in months, said he would support "a pathway for legal status" for those living in the country illegally.

That Obama used the phrase "legal status" instead of "citizenship" raised alarm bells for some deep in the weeds of immigration advocacy, since some more conservative immigration reformers think the estimated 11 million people living in the country illegally should be given legal status but not the opportunity to become citizens.

"He looked like he sidestepped around saying 'citizenship,'" said Marisol Valero, spokeswoman for United We Dream, a group that represents young people who were brought to the country illegally as children and want the opportunity to become citizens. "We are worried that the president and other leaders will not be supporting a path to citizenship for everyone."

Open Letter to John Gibson,Shawn Hannity,John Boehner,Luis V. Gutierrez & Lindsey Graham

11/9/2012

The gentleman I've listed above are advocating amnesty for the 12-20 million (wag) illegal aliens in our country . I strongly disagree with their position for the following reasons.

In 1986 President Reagan signed off on a bill granting amnesty to 1 1/2- 2 Million illegal aliens, today I wonder how many more of their family members are here now because of the Chain Immigration policy in place?

In the past 26 years since President Reagan signed that bill, because of politicians like Congressman John Boehner , Luis V. Gutierrez and Senator Lindsey Graham who have none nothing to help control our borders except to stick their finger in the dike to appease the voters at home,12-20 Million more illegal aliens (wag) have entered our country and now because the finger caper didn't work their solution to the problem is amnesty.

The message that people like Sean Hannity , John Boehner , Luis V. Gutierrez & Lindsey Graham are sending to immigrants around the world is that if you can enter our country illegally without getting caught and hide out for another 26 years, then sooner or later another amnesty will be granted.

Case in point, a large number of American Hispanic voters including Chicago Congressman Luis V Gutierrez have again rally their support for amnesty, and are using their vote to blackmail the Democrats into granting it. My question is what are those Hispanic Americans basing their support on?

My answer is it's based on the fact that a large number of the illegal aliens are also Hispanics which would appear to make their support based on race.( Google some of Chicago Congressman Luis V Gutierrez's comments on the subject).

Now if I say I don't support amnesty because it's wrong then those same people yell "Racist".

We currently have no control of immigration into our country, yet continue to allow in around 900,000 legal immigrations a year, and now John Gibson,Shawn Hannity,John Boehner,Luis V. Gutierrez & Lindsey Graham want to add 12-20 Million illegal aliens to our population which is now around 315 Million.

My question to John Gibson, Sean Hannity , John Boehner , Luis V. Gutierrez & Lindsey Graham that support amnesty is how many more immigrants legal & illegal entering our country will make you happy?

My closing comment is that violating our immigration laws should not be rewarded with American Citizenship, it's worth more than that! Just because you can walk across our borders or swim / wade across a river doesn't give someone a place at the head of the line here. The line for those people starts inside the border of their own country.

To compound the problem, under the 14 Amendment we have around 300,00 new American Citizens a year born in our country to just illegal Hispanic women, and yes John,Shawn , John B.,Luis & Lindsey a lot of them walk or swim/ wade across our border to have those babies.

The Topix is "Illegal Immigrants"

"Immigration refers to the movement of people between countries. While the
movement of people has existed throughout human history at various levels,
modern immigration implies long-term, legal, permanent residence. Short-term
visitors and tourists are considered non-immigrants (see expatriate).
Immigration across national borders in a way that violates the immigration
laws of the destination country is termed illegal immigration."

"Illegal immigration refers to immigration across national borders in a way
that violates the immigration laws of the destination country. Under this
definition, an illegal immigrant is a foreigner who either has illegally
crossed an international political border, be it by land, water, or air, or
a foreigner who has entered a country legally but then overstays his/her
visa. "

See the difference?
