Most Americans support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, an issue that may be high on the agenda of newly re-elected President Obama and the 113th Congress, given the increased importance of nonwhites -- including Hispanic voters -- in the nation's political equation.

<quoted text>so what's your point ,send them back and start a guest worker program end of story. I don't care what they do in this country they don't deserve amnesty they deserve to be deported for all the anchor babies they have created who are draining the education and healthcare systems not to mention welfare.
That's your personal mythology. The fact is they contribute far more than they take. Here is an example.

"Last year, Mr. Martínez paid about $2,000 toward Social Security and $450 for Medicare through payroll taxes withheld from his wages. Yet unlike most Americans, who will receive some form of a public pension in retirement and will be eligible for Medicare as soon as they turn 65, Mr. Martínez is not entitled to benefits.

He belongs to a big club. As the debate over Social Security heats up, the estimated seven million or so illegal immigrant workers in the United States are now providing the system with a subsidy of as much as $7 billion a year."

I'am not white. These people have a country which they can govern any way they want and they turned it into crap. Now they want to come here and do the same.

If the Democrats had kept their promises starting in 1986 when Kennedy stood on the floor of the Senate and declared “We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this.” this would never have become an issue.

Democrats lied, America died.

The IRS pay billions in tax refunds to workers who are in the U.S. illegally. The Treasury Department’s Inspector General determined that $4.2 billion was paid in 2010, up from less than $1 billion in 2005. Leading Democrats are resisting a bill that would stop future payments.

There you are....$4.2 BILLION taxpayer dollars, right off the top, to illegals.

What American would support allowing anyone to just walk into the country and become a citizen? And why?
Why isn't this happening around the world? Because it's a lie. The media thinks if they write down it becomes the truth.
The liar-in-chief does. He would support anything to get re-elected.

In case you haven't noticed, they have already overwhelmed the system.

Look at all the sanctuary states, and look at their budget deficits.

Spy , I'm ready to call it a night, but I wanted to reply to one of your post,,, which so happens I can't find tho I remember it. It had to do with Foreign students at our Universities. It's mind boggling what our Government is doing by pandering to these students with so much taxpayer funded grants, etc. I was forced to drop out this last Sept., I lost my job and couldn't gather up enough money to pay for my books and according to my taxes I was not even considered for any assistance. I have a Degree but wanted to advance my studies. Anyway, the cost is getting out of hand. The Univ. I attended had us pay extra bucks along with our tuition for lap-tops ,parking fees, lab fees, etc. for these foreigners, they would jack on these expenses and when we would attempt to dispute these extra fees they would say it was mandatory. American students are being taken advantage of and these Universities are committing pure and simple thief. Don't know when this madness will stop and don't know the reason behind this pandering when so many Americans are dying to attend college and become productive individuals. Like I said it is mind-boggling. I will be back, but i need to see what Obama has in store for the us(American people) before I make a move. With the taxes about to hit us in January and people losing jobs, savings, pensions, etc. it is wise to wait and see.

The poll used a deceitful method. It asked if people were in favor of a pathway to citizenship for illegals. Of course he question implies there isn't one but there are many. Just as they refuse to do it the way legal immigrants did from the start they refuse to go to the authorities and get it corrected now. Those that want to be citizens simply don't want to do anything to earn it but that fact is many are only interested in getting whatever money they can and running with it.
