Poll: Majority Supports Path to Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants

There are 1474 comments on the KVOR-AM Colorado Springs story from Nov 14, 2012, titled Poll: Majority Supports Path to Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants. In it, KVOR-AM Colorado Springs reports that:

Most Americans support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, an issue that may be high on the agenda of newly re-elected President Obama and the 113th Congress, given the increased importance of nonwhites -- including Hispanic voters -- in the nation's political equation.

I think if there is any kind of immigration reform (amnesty) then i think there should be a stop to legal immigration here to the U.S. for at very least 5 years or so. Will that piss alot of people off that have been trying to come here legally? Probably..But oh well..It will just show them that America in all reality does not "really" care if our borders are strong or not..And that they should just come over here illegally because sooner or later there will be an amnesty for them as well. So just keep scooching on over American..until there is no more room to scooch.

What does this have to do with the question you asked me? This is why no one replies to your spam. You don't reply to the argument you start. You just post spam.

Below is the definition of racism. I answered your question, to which you replied with spam of one individual giving his opinion, nothing to do with your original question, as usual. Typical "Cricket23" tactics.

Now, let's try again. Below, is the definition of racism. As you can see the answer to your question is NO.

Then why and what are the Hispanic Americans basing their support on amnesty for the 12-20 million illegal aliens in our country, which over half are Hispanics?
First off, not all Hispanics advocate for amnesty.

Those that do, may have many reasons. One of which may be a personal empathy for the plight of the immigrant be it legal or illegal. This is not racism.(refer to definition previously posted)

I have not seen any Hispanic come out and advocate for amnesty for Hispanics only.

I have, however, seen a great deal of Hispanic bashing by whites claiming Hispanic illegals and Hispanics in general, are ignorant, dirty, ugly, low I.Q, trash, etc, etc.

I have seen a great deal of propaganda put out about the "browning" of America and the decline of the "white" majority. With that propaganda comes the animosity and hatred.

That would fit the description of racism or bigotry, prejudice, xenophobic, etc.

that's the biggest difference between then and now those those European were immigrants and these parasites today no matter where they come from are illegal aliens. Why do people like you keep making this about race instead of law and order? Amnesty under no circumstance will pass.

Obama wasn't re-elected strickly by those that even like the amnesty idea just like he wasn't re-elected on the free bc thing either.

You can't pick one issue and say that is what in itself was the issue that put him over the top.

Even you would know you were lying then.

The fact is they can't say that a majority of American's like the idea based on Obama's election, that is crap and even you know it.

It was different groups of people, women, blacks, whites, latino, those on welfare and foodstamps, all sorts of different people from different groups and not all due to the same issues either.

So it is lying to say it was because they agreed with what Obama was doing with the amnesty crap.
So the poll was wrong??

Illegals by Race or Country

Mexico continued to be the leading source country of unauthorized
immigration to the United States (see Table 3).

There were 6.6 million unauthorized immigrants from Mexico in 2010, representing 62 percent of the unauthorized population.

The next leading source countries

for unauthorized immigrants in 2010 were

El Salvador
(620,000)

Guatemala (520,000)

Honduras (330,000)

Philippines (280,000)

The ten leading countries of origin represented 86 percent
of the unauthorized immigrant population in 2010.

The number of Mexican-born unauthorized immigrants increased by 2.3
million between 2000 and 2007 and decreased by 340,000 between 2007
and 2010.

Changes in the unauthorized population were much smaller
during either period for other leading source countries.

To top it off there are about 300,000 babies born in the United States to illegal aliens women each year!

(CBS) It was 5 a.m. and CBS News national correspondent Byron Pitts is with a woman who is nine months pregnant. She's rushed to a south Texas hospital to undergo a C-section - a $4,700 medical procedure that won't cost her a dime. She qualifies for emergency Medicaid.

She gave birth to a healthy, 8 1/2 pound baby boy - born in America. His Mexican mother gave him an American name: Eliot.

Eliot is one of an estimated 300,000 children of illegal immigrants born in the United States every year, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. They're given instant citizenship because they are born on U.S. soil, which makes it easier for their parents to become U.S. citizens.

That's because those babies can eventually sponsor their parents - when they turn 21 years old.
