Article VI [Legal Status of the Constitution]

This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. And the Congress may by general laws prescribe the manner in which such acts, records, and proceedings shall be proved, and the effect thereof.

The citizens of each state shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of citizens in the several states.

The State of Utah and it's elected officials agreed to abide by these laws when they joined the Union.

If they no longer want to abide by the laws of our Nation, then they can pay us back all the money they got from the Federal Government and LEAVE the Union.

Not to bring up the polygamy card, but this IS Utah we're talking about.

There's a certain irony that they are claiming a state has a "sovereign right" to define marriage however they want.

Obviously they CAN'T define marriage however they want, or polygamy WOULD be legal in Utah.
