Lesbian Vampire Killers posters banned from public transport

There are 19 comments on the gay_blog.blogspot.com story from Mar 18, 2009, titled Lesbian Vampire Killers posters banned from public transport. In it, gay_blog.blogspot.com reports that:

Posters for new film comedy Lesbian Vampire Killers have been banned from public transport - because the title is "sexually offensive". Movie bosses have been told the posters are unsuitable for children - and might offend lesbians. Bosses of the movie, which stars James Corden and Mat Horne from TV's Gavin and Stacey, had planned a six-figure poster campaign.

If they were bisexual vampire killers could they show half of the poster?

So is this a movie about guys that kill Vampires that are lesbians or is this about a group of lesbians that go out and kill vampires? Either way there has to be a great joke in there somewhere...

But in all reality, some guys in suits probibly sat there and decided that while exposing children to the words vampire and killer was ok (we see those all the time on tv and video games), why should they force those poor parents from having to explain to their kids what the word lesbian means (which makes me flash back 10 years to that Southpark episode when the kids substitute teacher was a lesbian but the kid didn't know what that meant...classic).

Either way... no more offensive than the poster for Passion of the Christ that showed a bloodied jesus on it plastered all over the place.

I was wondering too

if they are Lesbian Vampires who kill, then that's pretty run of the mill fare

but Lesbians who kill vampires

or men who kill lesbian vampires

that's a new twist

but movies usually have lesbians who are killer who may or may not be vampires

either way, I'm a lesbian, I like vampires so I'd see it

I'm a lesbian. It's a comedy. Where is the offensiveness? I'm lost.

I'm not a lesbian or a vampire and I'd still see the movie, probably not in theaters but I'd netflix it. The idea that it would offend lesbians is a bit silly. I wouldn't get offended at a movie called heterosexual vampire killers...

Actually, I think the BEST vampire movie I ever saw was "Salem's Lot" (The LONG, LONG edit).

I think Vampire Lesbian Killers might be offensive, however.

With the popularity of that silly chihuahua flic, I wonder if Hollywood might consider an idea for dachshunds who go around killing vampire Yorkshire terriers.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua is funny as all get out. It is a kids movie. And even though I was taken by some of my very young friends, 3, 7, 10 13 for my birthday last year, I enjoyed it. Thefunny part is as I was watching the movie I turned to my friend and the RAT and IGUANA, I said...I actually know people like that. LOL!

I'm so jaded that it's not funny if it's not offensive
