Hey pigskin, god didn't give you any rights. The Bible condones slavery and any number of other generally condemned human rights violations.
It's the U.S. Constitution which establishes your rights as a citizen. And LGBT people are every bit as entitled to the same rights as everyone else, including equal protection under the law.
Now please... if you just want to vent your puny-brained homophobia, go do that among your testosterone-swilling sports buddies.
On the other hand, if you're going to post on this forum, please be specific and stay on topic.
If you think your rights come from man then you must agree man can take your rights away.

Yes, and technically speaking, the Amendments are part of the Constitution, so that would include the Bill of Rights.

What are sodomites? The city of Sodom doesn't exist anymore and some believe it never existed. There are no sodomites today.

I believe the APA is legit. Just because you don't like gay people doesn't mean they were hijacked by gays.

the truth is that all american citizens are guaranteed the same rights under the protections of the united states constitution. the truth is that the apa, the ama and other major medical and scientific professional organizations all agree that a portion of the populace is homosexual and is normal that does not require (nor do they advise) any sort of reparative therapy. all of these major national professional organizations have relased repeated statements supporting equality for homosexuals. with each successive press release they have further bolstered their stance without retreating.

of course, no american law requires you to believe any particular thing - nor should it. however, laws here in america are based upon our federal constitution with the concept of fairness and equality for all.

She didn't. I suggest we gently explain to her that the standards for "gay friendly" are being raised slightly.

At one time it was legal to own slaves in this country. Your man given rights thinking swings according to the whim of the moment and who controls the political power at any given time. How about the right(mans law) for you to stone a homosexual to death under Shariah law?

You really should have paid attention in civics class. The "civil" in Civil Rights literally means "people."

The Constitution was established and ratified by people who had witnessed the excesses of tyranny, and were determined to create safeguards against such excesses.

Nobody "gave" me my rights. They come with being human. However, historically, there have been rampant abuses against the basic rights of human beings. The U.S. Constitution marked the first time in history when people stood together with enough force to break the shackles of tyranny, and simultaneously establish a system of checks and balances in government which were designed to prevent tyranny, inasmuch as possible.

Of course, nothing is perfect. Human rights are like honor and dignity. They cannot be taken away by anyone. But in practice, it is a system of justice, the rule of law, and the constitutional right to redress grievances against the government which perpetuate our rights. Rights cannot be taken away, but they can be violated.

And it is dishrags like you who are doing the violating. You are deliberately ignorant of the vast wealth of sociological and scientific fact regarding LGBT people. You haven't got the qualifications to evaluate or understand the research, but you dismiss it out of hand because it does not align with your narrow-minded prejudices.

You repeat stupid lies and libels against LGBT people when at the same time it is clearly obvious that you don't know the first thing of what you're talking about. You are clasically ignorant, stubbornly refusing to accept reason and rational facts which cannot be credibly avoided.

And you clearly have such a morbid fascination with gay people that you come here insulting them in order to get attention from them. This tells me a great deal about you. You seem to be in line with mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Larry Craig, Bob Allen, Glen Murphy Jr., and George Rekers.

Question: How many rabid homophobes can you fit in a closet?

Answer: All of them!

the civil rights in this country has a long history of being broadened and inclusive of minorities to protect their rights in accordance with the united states constitution. it is a pity that it took federal laws to recognize that minorities were worthy of equal treatment and protections. the laws resulted from lawsuits forcing the issues.

Fact Check: FALSE.

It is YOU who only believe what you want to believe. Every scrap of credible evidence is on OUR side.

In the California Prop 8 trial, the plaintiffs presented expert witness after expert witness who brought forth monumental amounts of vetted scientific and socological research which showed conclusively that there is absolutely no rational reason to prohibit LGBT people from having civil marriage equality.

The defendants brought forth only two witnesses, who --under oath--corroborated the testimony of THE PLAINTIFF'S witnesses.

If you have some "truth" that comes from observable, testable facts, then out with it! If, on the other hand, you are going to start quoting Bible verses, then you can pack your bags right now.

"Truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it; ignorance may deride it; but in the end, there it is." --Winston Churchill.

"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." --Abraham Lincoln.
