<quoted text>Maybe you are not aware that science is still researching this issue where a person is born gay or is it a choice. If science thought people are born gay, they would not be researching this issue. One group say one thing and another group say the opposite. So the jury is still out on this issue.
It's out on what causes a person to be straight or gay, but it's not the matter of choice. Gay people say they were born gay, that's the most important proof there is. I know I was born straight. Got it on with a woman, I chose to do that, but that doesn't make me a lesbian.

We are not talking about what cause a person to be straight but what science to date is researching if being gay is a choice or if they are born that way. I do not know any baby that come here talking and saying they were born gay. If you know of such a case please share it with us.

I didn't say anything about babies.
So, why don't you choose to be gay?

My step-mother knew I was gay when I was 4.

Post 177 you refer to gays being born gay. I guess that is about babies. You said you got it on with another woman but you are not a lesbian. If you are still getting it on with women you are a lesbian. It look like you made a choice. I have read where people say they chose to be gay.

So, you HAVE heard babies tell you they were born straight?

Odd.

Look, if you believe you were attracted to both genders at birth, and made a conscious choice to be attracted to ONE gender at puberty, that's fine.

But I've never spoken with, or heard of, anyone else who has had the same experience. Well, other than the anti-gay folks on these boards, who all seem to think that sexual orientation is chosen by kids at puberty.

I have no idea what your life has been but I am sure you do not come here saying you were gay. All the babies I seen came here crying and wanting to eat. They sure was not talking.

Or, she is bi-sexual.

A lesbian would ONLY be able to be attracted to women.

It's not about who a person has sex with, Dear. It's about who a person can be attracted to. A man who has sex with his own hand does not have an exclusive "hand orientation".

Well, at least, I suspect most don't.

I don't understand the points you are trying to make about babies.

Are you trying to say that no baby has any innate traits that manifest throughout life, but are not immediate visible in an infant?

You know that's not true. A baby is born with a certain programming for size, intelligence, and even personality. A million different innate traits.

And sexual orientation is one of them.

It's not that hard to understand.

We can debate this issue and still you have your opinion and I have mine. I do not share your opinion as I see the person as a lesbian. Action speak louder than words.

is it hard to understand that children being born main focus is on surviving. They come here looking to eat. Sexual awareness comes later as they grow to know what is male and female. To want to mate kick in at puberty the biological urge that is built in for the survival of the species.

Yes, and yet, some people are born with only the ability to be attracted to the same gender, but with the exact same sex drive that everyone else has. None of us chooses that. How in the world could we?

Same biological urge, different expression.

Interesting, isn't it?

Somethings begin to take shape long before it is manifested. A disease start working in the body slowly before the person is aware. Trying to trace all emotional changes in a person is impossible to pinpoint from birth that may effect a gender choice.

The orientation doesn't grow. One's awareness of one's orientation does.

I made a choice to get it on with the woman, but that didn't turn me into a lesbian. My bf had a fantasy about watching two chicks get it on. So, he asked my if I would do it.

I am sure that is your opinion of how you see it. We all have our opinion about this issue whether we agree or not. Some people have a deeper insight into this matter but can not share because it would be hard to explain to people who are less enlighten and would reject the knowledge because they are not prepared to accept it. As I said the jury is still out on this matter since science are still looking for answers.

When you made a choice to get it on with a woman, you became a lesbian. Whether you do it again do not erase the fact that two women engage in sex is lesbianizm.

If I pick up a pen with both hands do I become ambidextrous?
