WTF do you mean? How am I back peddling? Hate speech is perfectly legal, never claimed other wise. I know nothing is more important to fundies than spreading hate, so they get worried when they hear there are going to be laws against hate speech. But there won't be. They would violate the 1st Amendment.

Denying gays equal rights is the same as telling women they can't vote or enslaving black people. Look you can't just say some people should have right while denying other people equal rights. You are either for freedom and individual rights or you want a dictatorship.

Of course marriage is a personal choice, but is also covered by law.

And, unless there is a valid and rational reason to prevent a group of Americans from being protected equally under those laws, then any laws banning that equal protection must change.

Yes the law say in most states and countries no SSM. Wanting the law to change to support ones opinion do not mean it will be overthrown.

Actually, a great many countries DO support same sex marriage, with that number growing every day. And the number of states that do is growing as well.

No one said anything about changing laws to support one's opinion. One changes laws that harm Americans without any rational basis.

That's one of the things the Courts are for, and that protects us all.

That do not change the fact many countries do not support SSM. This year NC voted against SSM. Over half America still have laws against SSM. The laws that are already against SSM, the Gay community are out to try to change them to match their opinion or understanding what the law say.

Maybe you are not aware that science is still researching this issue where a person is born gay or is it a choice. If science thought people are born gay, they would not be researching this issue. One group say one thing and another group say the opposite. So the jury is still out on this issue.
