Unmasking The "Gay" Agenda

Feb 13, 2008 Full story: 710knus.townhall.com 1,023

Sorry, I just HAD to post this. It is just too damn funny. These people are bloody paranoid! - Ziggy

Americans who self-identify as “gay” or lesbian comprise roughly one to three percent of the population. Yet the homosexual movement — led by extremist homosexual pressure groups like the so-called Human Rights Campaign (HRC) — represent, per capita, one of America’s most powerful and well-funded political lobbies. Consider that HRC and the HRC foundation alone have an annual budget in excess of 50 million.

Through a carefully crafted, decades-old propaganda campaign, homosexual activists have successfully cast homosexuals — many of whom enjoy positions of influence and affluence — as a disadvantaged minority. They have repackaged and sold to the public behaviors which thousands of years of history, every major world religion and uncompromising human biology have long identified as immoral and sexually deviant.

The Goal

As with every major political movement, the homosexual lobby is pushing a specific agenda. It is often called the “gay agenda.” At its core is a concerted effort to remove from society all traditional notions of sexual morality and replace them with the post-modern concept of sexual relativism. That is to say, when it comes to sex, there is never right or wrong. All sexual appetites are “equal.” If it feels good, do it.

Ultimately, the homosexual lobby’s primary objective is to radically redefine our foundational institutions of legitimate marriage and the nuclear family by unraveling God’s natural design for human sexuality. In so doing, they hope to elevate their own spiritual and biological counterfeit and establish a sexually androgynous society wherein natural distinctions between male and female are dissolved.

This creates cultural and moral anarchy.

Below are two of the central demands put forth by homosexual activists in their “1972 Gay Rights Platform”

I love how they take a small militant groups of gay rights activist to try and paint all of us as the same.
This would be no different than saying that Fred Phelps and his crew represent ALL christians in this country.

As for the rest of the article, it is easy to post all these views and allegation without references to back them up.

BUCK--"It is not paranoia that bothers this hetrosexual it is the fact that homosexuals make up 7% of the U.S. population but account for 70% of HIV infections."

IF true (the radical religious right has made a cottage industry of cranking out phony stats) that's irrelevent. AIDS is a health matter, not a sexual orientation matter. You don't address a health matter through discrimination.
And if you're concerned about AIDS, I'd think you'd be overjoyed at the notion of promoting marriage. Gays shouldn't be allowed to marry, they should be ENCOURAGED to marry.

"This is total irresponsibility by the homosexual community."

And as has been pointed out repeatedly, what promiscuity exists within homosexual people is due primarily to bigotry and homophobia. It happens because so many people are closeted and CANNOT have a typical relationship. If they could meet, go out on dates, fall in love, get married, like "normal" people this would be far less of a problem. More bigotry and more fear just makes the problem WORSE.

"To brush this off under the guise of bigotry is criminal."

No, to RESPOND to a health matter with bigotry is criminal. Ordinary gays are no more responsible for AIDS than ordinary straight people are for Herpes or whatever other STD one could think of (or AIDS, for that matter, which is also a problem in straight people)
How is denying basic rights to gays helping the problem? Not one bit.

"This additude and behavior can and will cause a natonal epidemic unless the homosexual community ramp up THEIR moral standards."

And, again, a GREAT place to start is by encouraging marriage, and by ending the discrimination and bigotry which forces so many gay people to live their lives as hidden as possible, so they cannot have monogomous loving committed relationships but rather hidden anonymous quickies.

"You can call me anything you like, but the truth is your community is self destructing, and is better to be a bigot than dead."

Being a bigot is making the problem WORSE. How is hating and discrimination making their "morality" any better?

I have an idea, why don’t we approve marriage equality for same sex couples. This would encourage monogamy and cut down on the transmission of STDs.

From census.gov :
As of 2006, there were 119.1 million Americans who were married with their spouse present in the household, representing 51.1 percent of the population (over 15 years of age.) 13.3 million of those were married couples between the ages of 15 and 17. These 15-17 year olds are not old enough to drink alcohol in most states, not old enough to smoke, not old enough to vote, and presumably 1/3 are not old enough to have a drivers license, but are old enough to marry, have sex, and care for infant children.

22.8 million, or 9.8 percent were divorced. 68.6 million, or 29.4 percent were never married. An additional 4.9 million, or 2.1 percent were married but separated.

So, married “nuclear family” couples barely constitute a simple majority of 51.1 percent of the population, with “adults” being defined as everyone above fifteen years of age.

The Leave-It-To-Beaver fantasy of American communities made up MOSTLY of married couples with children, and little rows of houses with white picket fences, with the father working and the mother staying home has always been more myth than fact, more idealism than reality.

The “Gay Agenda” is not to redefine society’s moral perspective away from reality, but rather to draw perceptions to be more in-line with the actual makeup of the population, which includes Gay and Lesbian people, Bisexual people, Transgender people, unmarried single parents, and many many more categories who are simply not Mike and Carol Brady.

It would be obviously ludicrous to assert that someone who is single –like myself—is “by definition” anti-marriage. And it is just as ludicrous to assert that someone who is gay –like me—is “by definition” anti-heterosexual or anti-family.

And the “one to three percent of the population” assertion is an intentional distortion, which is telling unto itself. That is the percentage of the population who, when asked by a U.S. Census taker “do you identify yourself as gay, lesbian, or bisexual?” answered “yes.” This excludes people who do not accept these labels, people who are in the closet and afraid of identifying themselves as GLB publicly, and people who identify themselves with more specific or less common labels. Whereas, when you ask “on a scale of one to six, with one representing sexual attraction exclusively to members of the opposite sex, and six representing sexual attraction exclusively to members of the same sex, where would you place yourself on this scale?”(the Kinsey Question) one in ten people place themselves at 3.5 or above.

The point being that there is not a universal “polarization” to heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality. These are just generalizations used to include a wide range of actual human sexual behavior which is consistent across most of the cultures of the Earth, and throughout history.

When asked confidentially whether they had ever had sexual contact with another male—anything from romantic kissing and petting behavior to genital contact, oral sex, or anal intercourse—the percentage of men who answered “yes” to this question in the Kinsey surveys was an astonishing 25%.

Twisting statistics to try and paint the LGBT population as infinitesimally small and inconsequential is an obvious attempt to discredit a broader minority, and clearly motivated by the reporter’s belief that the actual number is much higher, and therefore must be misrepresented to support a biased argument.

I know that many people are livid that the HRC lobbyists acquiesed to passage of workplace non-discrimination legislation which did not include specific language for transgender people. But they expended enormous amounts of time and money trying to get that language in the bill.

When it came down to it, it could not have passed with that wording at this time. But what would you have them do? Say, "we will settle for ALL or NOTHING!" knowing that the outcome would have been nothing, and all the potential for good would have been completely wasted? Politics is compromise, and this fight is far from over. We must stand before we can walk, and we must walk before we can run.

I think it's more effective if we continue to stand together, even if it means we don't all win everything at the same time.

If gay people are all going to self-destruct, then why are you in TOPIX gay/lesbian forum complaining so bitterly? Is is because you are NOT personally convinced that your statement is true?

Gay people are made by straight people. Go tell the straight people to stop mating if you don't want any more gay people.

I also encourage taking it to the streets, but I'm not amused by people badmouthing the HRC. I knew one of the original founders of the organization (when it was HRCF), and I know that the goals have not changed in all thes years. HRC is the most politically respected lobbying group working on behalf of the LGBT community. The people involved are sincerely committed to equality, and I guarantee you that they are not getting rich doing this. Many of them could be making a lot more money doing something else, but they make great sacrifices to serve as our voice in Washington.

Were you there, when we took it to the streets and marched on Washington in '92? A million people stood and shouted with one voice at the U.S. Capitol Building. And congress pretended we weren't there. Meanwhile, The HRC has been instrumental in every legislative battle for equality in every state and on every front, and they have helped accomplish a great deal in establishing equality for everyone.

No organization is perfect, but it doesn't help anyone when you slander those who are devoting their lives to this cause. Who would you rather support? The Log Cabin Republicans?

Please state your source for the 70% figure. I will say there is a large amount of gays with HIV/AIDS. A large problem in these numbers comes from the lack of action by our government when the illness arrived. How many years passed before our president first uttered the word AIDS? He refused to acknowledge it until the death of his friend, Rock Hudson.
Something to keep in mind: studies show that educational programs that only address abstinance aren't working, and STD and pregnancy rates are soaring for the children in said programs. That's why AZ is not taking the money from the fed gov for their sex ed program anymore. Not educating the children in this country as to their personal responsibility is enemy #1! Gay has nothing to do with it.

I was watching "In the Life" last night and the guy who wrote "Faggot" was on there and he was talking about Act Up and the power of that movement and the Stonewall movement as opposed to what we have now... and what we have to "represent us" in the halls of congress and the house. It really is quite pathetic.
And yeah, not to pick at old wounds, but I do feel that HRC let not only me down, but showed a bit of their true colours to all of us, no matter your letter of choice.
Our representation will never be as big or as virulent as those that oppose us, such as the Religious Right. These groups have the money, the will and the time that we just cannot match. But when we raise our voices up at a grass-roots level -- that is when we truly have power... and guess what -- that is exactly what is happening right here in front of you. THIS is grass-roots activism. This is the kind of voice and message that cannot be stopped and can carry our message. Not the HRC... which I'm not sure... but I think they stopped trying a while back, and they certainly rolled over (in MHO) during the ENDA debate and they were powerless to stop DOMA.... okay, I'll stop now.
If you are pro-HRC, I'll still love ya... I promise!:D
