Gay or straight, I don't really care about someone's choices. Yes being gay IS a choice. Being straight is also a choice. It goes both ways. But vandalism is NOT a gay right or anyone's else's right. If someone wants to oppose being "homophobic" or "straight phobic" that's their choice. Yes, I said choice. It's time we all took personal responsibilities for our collective and individual actions. No one has a right to damage the property of others, period! My man and I like things that members of that church (or any other for that matter) probably don't approve of, but we're not with each other to please some church prude. I'm here to please him, and he's here to pleas me. If the church likes it, good. If they don't, tough. I would never vandalize their place of worship and neither should anyone else.
You are clueless if you think being gay is a choice. It's a preference. Just as some straight men only like fat women. It's how you are wired and what you are attracted to. Some people like grapes and some just don't you don't choose to like grapes or not. You choose to eat them not to like them.

Honestly, that sounds like BS. Murder is always newsworthy. The only thing my Google found was a mentally ill gunman who shot a lay bishop two years after Prop 8. If you found something more specific from reliable sources, we're ready to learn more.
I took care to qualify it as being an alleged malcontent over Prop 8. That does not change the fact that violence against gays is much more likely to be covered by the liberal media than violence by gays.

Why do I have to find out about incidents against the straight community by gays somewhere other than the mainstream media? I suppose you also have proof that the church vandalism was an anti-gay conspiracy. You are becoming more hysterical with your rants all the time. How about all your previous rants that the GSA had nothing to do with planned parenthood? The turned out to be equally false.

No, the GSA has never had and does not now have any relationship with Planned Parenthood. People like you who continue to spread these lies are the lowest of the low.

Your "incidents" that have not been publicized are as false as your humanity.

Do I have proof of a set-up?? No. Does it smell like one?? Yes indeed, especially when I read the original news article with the REAL facts.

You contribute nothing to thee threads, but nastiness and lies.

Why are you here???

<quoted text>That was because it wasn't considered "newsworthy" by the more liberal news outlets. Violence by the gay community tends to get ignored by the mainstream media. The shooter was later killed by the police in a armed confrontation. He was reputedly disgruntled over Mormon involvement is Prop 8 campaigning. I googled the following and found many references to the incident: mormon bishop murdered prop 8
Just to be fair, violent behavior by either side is always WRONG!
my question is,'why the hell were you googling that, anyway?' were you just sitting around and thought that maybe you'd drop the words 'mormon bishop murdered' into a search engine and see what popped out the other end?

Perhaps that's because one is much more common than the other.

The only proof you need of that is the way the homophobic organizations harp incessantly about incidents that happened two decades ago. That's how hard that have to look for "evidence" of the gay community's hostility.

We don't have to look so hard. Anti-gay violence happens at least once a month.

1) Because you generally don't hear about anti-gay violence in the mainstream media, either. Just like you don't hear about all the racist violence in the mainstream media. If you want to know what's going on in the world of hate, scour the news of dedicated communities. Also follow SPLC.

2) Because the alleged incidents are usually only imagined by the anti-gay organizations. While the mainstream media does have a propensity to post propaganda pieces, they generally avoid the most obvious BS.
I suppose you also have proof that the church vandalism was an anti-gay conspiracy. You are becoming more hysterical with your rants all the time.
We're still awaiting more details. But I'm sure when all is known, none of the known, established gay advocates will be implicated in the vandalism. The reporting was irresponsible in suggesting that whoever did this had earned the right to represent us.
How about all your previous rants that the GSA had nothing to do with planned parenthood? The turned out to be equally false.
Why would there be anything wrong with affiliating with Planned Parenthood?

Even after showing links that quoted the GSA affillation with planned parenthood by GSA executives? Are you going to deny Nancy Pelosi's comments on how Planned Parenthood's relationship with the GSA is very valuable.

he can't help it. i'd like to introduce you to david g. moore of pekin il.(if you need of it i can also supply you with his street address and telephone number) anyway, several years ago he told us about how his wife found out that he's gay and left him; taking away his three darling little daughters and he hasn't seen them for years. ever since then he has been screaming about how awful homosexuality is and how it ruins lives... it certainly ruined his.
after that he told us how his identical twin sister (who is three years older than he is) had him committed because he wouldn't stop hounding her to marry him.(his words, not mine)
he's had a rough go of it, i guess.
David seems to have moved a few miles southwest from Pekin to Manito. I don't know we can say that homosexuality ruined David's life as much as getting caught doing it did. I know several women who are OK with their husbands being bi-sexual and a lot of guys who don't mind if their wives want a girlfriend. It seems one should discuss these things before one makes any commmitments. I have an aunt who married a bi guy and when she found out she divorced him and married another bi-guy. I know for a fact that at least 5 of her 7 husbands were bi-sexual. Maybe all 7 were.

Would you expect Jews to show tolerance for Nazis? Should blacks show tolerance to the KKK?
There is no reason for gays to show tolerance to those who seek to discriminate against us.

I have looked for a link that would verify your story. Nothing but anti-gay/anti-abortion religious sites. Not one bit of truth to be found.

I will continue to look.

Another off-topic break from the back & forth insanity:

NOM has joined with the Christian Civic League in Maine to form Protect Marriage Maine. So now we know for sure NOM will be dumping millions into the Maine fight as well- not that it was ever in doubt.

The hypocrisy being the Christian Civic League complained about all the "outside money" used by the pro-equality groups in '09.

But violently attacking churches IS A CHOICE, and unfortunately, savage violence like this provide excuse for physical counter-attacks on homosexuals.
