And you fairies need to remember that this is in FACT still a nation with a bill of rights.
I will take my bible wherever I choose to take it and you can take your gay parades and shove them up your SECULAR posterior. lol
P.S. STFU :P
what a wonderful little phrase that i'm sure Jesus used...."STFU"....

the differences are that if someone wants a parade they have to pay the city a fee to be able to do that. you can carry your bible for free.

just remember, those rights go both ways for us all. you may not like to remember that we're all equal in the eyes of the law, but, well, shucks, modern day judges understand that part of the constitution.

Yep. Parez Hilton has every right to select or reject a contestant, based on her same sex marriage belief. Here in the USA we are free to boycott business such as Chick fil a.

You act like the nurse in the movie "One flew over the cuckoos nest".

That's very much the same mindset as all your progressive liberal colleagues.

The bible to conservatives is toilet paper because all you do is wipe your hypocrite butts with it.

You slice and dice it and pick what you like and ignore what you do not .

Reminds me of Bristol Palin preaching about abstinence before marriage or Newt Gingrich speaking about the sanctity of marriage .

he's the one objecting to various churches and denominations believing differently than he does. he's the one expecting everyone to believe juuuuuust like he does and proclaims those that don't not to be christian. he only does this to make himself feel better about his opinions.
so where does he get to define and issue edicts about how people live their faith? where and how does he get the to order people to believe just like he does?
here's a quick answer : he doesn't.
don't really care. All I know is mainstream christians hate homosexuals. Regardless of how much the bible will contradict itself. Anybody claiming christianity is something different should be honest and say they belong to a cult. Sorry.

Gee..... when did "Christians" in this forum EVER stick to what Christian means? Literally, it means Christ-like. I don't see ANYTHING even remotely Christ-like about the "Christians" in here. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. It makes me wonder if they even know anything about Christ at all....
the religion not the term. And the bible says all men are sinners, christ was perfect.

So, Jesus preached that anyone different from yourself must be hated and feared? He preached that only people YOU decide are perfect enough are welcome in His churches?
He preached that segregation, fear, intolerance, and judgement without knowledge were to be the foundations of His church?
christians hate "evil". The bible tells the rest.. http://www.letusreason.org/Biblexp74.htm
So the answer to your question is yes jesus preached about satan and no he doesn't decide who's allowed in churches, anybody is welcome. Just not to try and change what they already practice, if you want that join a cult.

Equal rights, what a concept.
Thank you Mr President for showing leadership once again while the GOPasaurs cower in fear of their frightwing religious nutjob base.
Obama defined "leadership" while he was a senator.

The only surprise here is that he hasn't signed an executive order against the California voters' decision.

Then, since there are so many Christian denominations, each with different interpretations, you are saying all but ONE of them are cults?

Which is the ONLY denomination that is not a cult?

I bet it's yours.

You take the time to memorize silly little insulting names for other Americans you don't like.

Why?

Does the grade-school name calling make you feel more secure and powerful?

To other adults, it looks rather weak and sad.

And, you are saying that he supports marriage equality because he's afraid of muslims? That seems a bit counter-intuitive.

no I'm saying all the ones grounded in years of existance denounce homosexuals. You can't dispute it. Any denomination that does is new and thu a cult. I really think there is nothing wrong with that either. What you're thrying to do is redefine what they believe. Most people (especially them) would strongly disagree.

Those nice old SRV 1952 with the thin tissue pages work just fine. You can use the Book of Leviticus up in about one week. Romans only lasts a day or two.

So, it's all about the age of the denomination. How long does it take for one to stop being a cult and start being accepted?

Are there written guidelines?

And what about churches who are well established decide who treat gay folks the way that Jesus would. Do they turn into cults?

Also, who is trying to "redefine" what other churches believe? Doesn't most of that 'redefining" come from within each denomination, as they learn and grow?

Shouldn't various church denominations stop trying to "redefine" secular institutions, like marriage, for people who are not a part of those denominations, as well? I would think that if a denomination doesn't want the government to intrude on their beliefs, that they would never want to force their personal beliefs on those that don't share them, either.

Isn't that right?

Why?

It's not like people choose to be gay - it's a God given trait. Since when does God ban people from worship because of a trait HE have them?

Isn't all sin chosen, and harmful?

Being gay certainly isn't chosen, and marrying certainly isn't harmful.
