One Million Moms Targets 'Gay Days' at Disney

May 9, 2013 Full story: EDGE 279

Nearly a week after launching a crusade against Phillips Norelco in response to a silly and suggestive commercial, anti-gay group One Million Moms is back again, this time shifting their ire from manscaping to Mickey Mouse with a protest against the annual "Gay Days" event at Disney World.

Oh, THE SHADOW, sorry, I mean PEPPER, are YOU accusing someone of NOT telling the truth?

I have never once said child molesting is good. I don't know what is going with that unfortunate story in Florida, but I am letting the COURTS do their job, why don't you try that also?

Anyway, this thread is about the thousand twats and their constant hissy fits, not child molesting. It is really hard for you to stay on track, isn't it?

I guess you have no choice but to let the courts do their job, but YOU as well as most homosexuals on here said there was nothing wrong with an 18 yr old having sex with a 14 yr old. You even stated that back in 1800's early 1900's, people were getting married then. You used this logic as justification for your views. So don't call me a liar when you can't even admit to what you said.
Why does the older girl keep getting older and older, in your complaints, while the younger girl stays the same age, in fact, she started out at 15 and is now 14? Will she be turning 13 soon?

I've made my points pretty clear and am not going to repeat myself again after this, as you LOVE to do. I said the affair began when the older girl WAS under 18, or according to you, she was about 29 and the other girl was 11. I said that it seemed unfair and I had read that some states had Romeo and Juliet laws and i wasn't sure if Florida did or not.

This is not some usual statutory rape scenario. if the parents wanted to stop it, why did they do nothing UNTIL the girl turned 18? That seems mean to me. Should the girl have known better? I guess so, but is the stroke of midnight on one's 18th birthday some magic wand that changes everything?

<quoted text>You're correct. When I lived near Disneyland, we had year passes for at least 15 years. They cost about $150,but were so worth it. Now a year pass is at least FOUR HUNDRED dollars, since the entry admission is over $100, and that is ONLY for Disneyland, to enter California Adventure is ANOTHER $100, or a "park hopper" ticket is $125.
The parking fees were always about $5, now they are $20. The restaurants are expensive, stupid souvenirs are pricey. even a popcorn is like $4.
I don't know how a family of 4 or 5 affords it. Kids are cheaper, but not THAT much cheaper. For a family to take their kids on a jolly day to one of the parks will end up costing them a MONTH'S salary. That is criminal.
Disney just started a new attraction , its a combo of house of horrors and the Dumbo ride. Its called the Frank Rizzo ride.

It's an outdated rusty and dangerous carousel which doesn't actually do much and what little it does is redundant and tedious.

It does seem to be a big hit with the Christian bunch.

What are the laws regarding underage people having sex in that state? In Arkansas you can't be over two years older or you have to be sixteen. If the laws are similar then, yes, it does seems highly suspicious. I personally don't care who my children love, the only things I ask is that they are good to each other, and I don't want my underage child sleeping with an adult. No, I don't think it's okay the day before her birthday, and not okay the day after. I filed charges on a 19 year old man "sexting" my 15 year old daughter. If he tries to contact her before her 18th birthday, he goes to jail. If they contact each other after that, then I guess I'll have to learn to live with her choice. There has to be a point where it's not okay.

My uncle and aunt lived in Vero Beach, about half way between Orlando and Miami. they never used AC for some reason, not even in the car, and visiting there was like torture, the only relief was dining out at an AC restaurant.
Recall the Seinfeld episode when he visited his parents in Florida and they wouldn't turn on their AC either...just like my aunt.

On top of the NO AC my aunt's house in Vero Beach got its water from a well which STUNK of sulfur horribly. They could only use bottled water for drinking and cooking and taking a shower was like bathing in a chemical wash. I didn't want to spend ONE minute more there than I had to!

LOL! I'm sure they'll sorely miss your business. I hope you don't care about Marvel comics or Star Wars or anything made by Lucasfilms, Muppets, and anything made by Pixar, or Touchstone to name a few. ;)

Yep. People LIKE sales and coupons and that sort of marketing schtick. Trying to do away with them wasn't the best move, and they paid for it.

What does that have to do with the topic?

J C PENNEY needs to pack up and leave town. I remember a long time ago that they required 1/4 of whatever you charged and charged more interest than other cards. Then, when I wrote them a letter, I put their response into a program that calculated the level of education. It was eighth grade. No kidding. They have people with an eighth grade level writing ability dealing with dissatisfied customers. I rarely even walk through a JCP these days. There are other stores with better customer service and great sales. I used to think I had to shop at Dillard's, Macy's, Ann Taylor, etc. It's so hot down here that my days of heels and hose are over unless it is a big deal occasion. Even then, women tend to wear upscale sandals with a new pedicure and zero hose.
