Well folks once voted to keep blacks from voting. You think they should have just sit quitely and accepted the "will of the people"?

What about the Woman's sufferage movement. You think woman should have stayed at home and in the kitchen and not fight for their rights?

Maybe we should put a vote that saids male whites over the age of 30 cannot marry.

How would that fair for you? No?

I'm sure you would fight, even if the majority agrees and voted that all white males over 30 should not get married.

Think about it.

The ruling is of course preposterous and will be struck down by the Supremes.

All it proves is that a radical homosexual cannot be an impartial judge.

It is ludicrous to claim that a right to marry is a right to redefine marriage.

Homosexual marriage is a failed policy. It has never attracted any significant percent of the homosexual population as actual participants in ANY country that allows it, and studies have shown that such marriages are not usual even exclusive relationships!

Fair enough. But, if you knowingly choose to eat rotten food, don't ask me to foot the hospital bill or force me to pay money to find out how you got sick and then spend more money to cure you.

The 'will of the people' isn't permitted to determine 'the rights of the people'. It's a sad day in America when it's allowed to happen.

My stance on this has nothing to do with same sex couples. This is just the latest thing a court has overturned or blocked that THE PEOPLE voted for. Look at AZ., look back at prop. 187 which would have saved is billions in illegal immigrant funding. The people of the USA are trying to make changes to better our country and the few judges are effectively disenfranchising us.
Again this is not directed at same sex couples it is major frustration over the majority loosing there voice.
WHY VOTE????
You got that right. Voters have no rights unless they are gay.

Your right. Christians should have the RIGHT to vote every other group UNWORTHY of being Equal The right to VOTE to kick all gays and tyrannies out of the United states. Because after all this is America and were not about equality were about Christianity. After all the constitution states in amendment 28 that all gays are evil and any one who supports them are not true americans. It expressly gives the citizens the right to ignore the civil rights of gays and make laws that make them unworthy of equality.

Oh wait thats right no one has the right to vote against peoples rights. After all we are americans too and this is not a democracy you right wing idiot. This is a democratic republic. Meaning all people have the same rights. You have the Right to MARRY the on you LOVE so should the LGBT.

The Constitution protects individual rights from any tyranny by the majority, even through the ballot box.

Don't you think a majority of Americans would have voted against civil rights for "colored people" in the 1960s. And most men were against women's right to vote in the 1910-1920 period.

The importance of gay marriage is that so many laws, rights, and privileges are based upon whether one is legally married or not.

Your obviously an OLD man since your referred as Archie Bunker(wasn't he a racist?).I wouldn't expect you to understand the changing of times. This is CALIFORNIA, home of millions of gays. Hello... ever heard of San Francisco? Why is this so surprising. Are you worried about the sanctity of marriage? What is the divorce rate at now? 60% or so? What a joke. Poeple cry about sanctity of marriage and then divorce without a second thought. Hypocrisy at it's finest. So old man, spares us with your religious drivel as it just makes you sound like crazy.
