That's because yes on 8 people are inherently immoral and un-American.

How revolting! Just sickening. This is some america that only allows freedoms to those who use religion as a tool to get what they want.

This is great! Let them argue an even more extreme viewpoint in their legal battles. It will only serve to ultimately undermine their own position. So, yes on 8 lawyers, please argue the most vehement and extreme position possible. Just know that by doing so, karma is that much more likely to bite you in the ass!

the "problem"with SSM only exists because they're making it one. The gay couples that are married were not causing any harm to anybody. There is no logical reason to deny them this fundamental right.

I am sad to say that I can no longer consider myself a christian. I can no longer associate myself with these people. They have long since told me that I can't be a gay christian and now i agree. My family, parents, neices, nephews etc. are so fed up with this they are no longer attending church. My neice has a one year old and she told me that she wants to expose her child from people from all walks of life but will never bring him into organized religion to be polluted with all of this dogma and hatred. There positions will ultimately turn a lot of people off, not that the Pat Robertsons of this world really care.

There ARE gay Christians. I think you need to change churches to a church that welcomes ALL people, including gay people (like my church :)), before you seriously consider abandoning Christianity.

True Christianity does NOT reject ANYONE !

PEACE !

That's why it would be a good thing for the hate-mongers to argue in court that gay couples *should* be denied equal rights. How does one successfully argue for inequality when there's NO basis for it?

You know why? Because it does not make any sense to strip all of our rights away, but yet have some of us with them. If some have it, then why not all? So their way around this little mess is to just screw everybody over.

Way to go "christians"!

They won't be happy until gays have been stripped of every single right they enjoy as citizens. Then they will feel that their hateful religion has been vindicated in its disdain for the GLBT community.

I truly wonder how these people are able to sleep at night or look themselves in the mirror without shuddering at their inherent cruelty.

I long ago realized that religion is based on a fairy tale, and we all recall how cruel most fairy tales are.

Typical bait and switch. Remember how the Yes on 8 spokespeople said that they had no intention of doing this BEFORE the election?

Am I suprised? No. Why should they start telling the ruth now?

Gays have been around since the beginning of man/woman, we've contributed greatly to society, always been good to our mothers, tolerated a lot from ignorant people, and kept our heads up high through the worst of time. We aren't going away and you can't legislate us out of existance. I'm gay as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

Agreed! They think they can silence us through the courts?

There will be never ending protests, there will be IN YOUR FACE like they have never seen.

There will be public displays of affection.

There will be public complaints against anything remotely religious in the public square.

And on and on.
