And rightly they should. It's time to retire that silly old garter belt. And maybe we can start slipping on cock rings or attaching Prince Alberts instead of the traditional wedding rings? I may start attending weddings again -- always found them so depressing :)-- Just asking. Hey, there's no harm in wishing, is there?

As the article points out, most of these wedding are between older long term established couples. Things may be different when more young couples start getting married.

Hetero weddings are SOOOOO boring, with everything revolving around the bride- it's the last thing she'll ever get to be in charge of.

My husband's neice spent over 25 THOUSAND dollars on her "special day" and made such a HUGE deal of pledging the unending love for their soulmate, blah, blah, blah. Divorced 6 months later!

I KNOW!! My husband's side of the family really knows how to waste money.

And all the "undying love" & "finding my soulmate" crap was just nauseating.

I predicted at the wedding reception that it wouldn't last a year.
