People flip-flop, because the argument is changed from a societal norm to an individual right.
People buy into the "right," and are held up as "evolved" individuals.
People that stand by the timeless norm of traditional marriage get their "bigot" label.
This is an experiment--nothing more and nothing less.
Relativism to the max.
We are becoming the nation that our ancestors fled.

Our ancestors fled their countries because the majority supported ,marriage and American families?

Really?

And gay folks marrying and parenting is no experiment - we have been marrying and having kids throughout the entire history of civilization.

The only difference is that instead of forming loveless marriages of convenience with unsuspecting straight folks, we are now marrying people we can be attracted to and love.

Would YOU like to go back in time and have a closeted gay person marry YOU, or one of your kids? It would LOOK more normal to you - one man and one woman.

But, would you think it was a good thing for yourself and those you love? Then why in the world would you want that sort of sham marriage fr anyone else, gay or straight?

ANYONE who wants to get married should GO FOR IT!!

It's not like many marriages last that long anyway.

What is the divorce rate today? 2 out of 3?

Clinton was AGAINST gay marriage before she was FOR it.

Perhaps she wants others, including gays, to get the chance to experience 'marital bliss', like she has.(blue dress stain and all) <LOL>

Your "timeless norm of traditional marriage" is a nyth that you wer lied to about.

marriage has changed constantly over its history. being a social construct, it has to change as the society that constructed it changes, lest it become irrelevent.

Yes it is, isn't it? Especially since we fled Britain and ended up here to win our independence in the Revolutionary War. So what did Britain do? They, with British connections, along with many jews, opened the federal reserve bank in 1913 followed by the 'revenue act' My children owe 50k apiece as it stands now. What say about 'freedom'?
The rest is, well, history.
Putin for President.
if you really knew your history, you wouldn't have posted that dreck that isn't even close to true.

if you also understood economics, you would know that becuase of the many, and frequent market and banking collapses of the late 1800's we developed a central monetary policy bosrd, and our economy and banking industry has never run smoother...

look at the EU..therir greatest mistake was not having a central monetary policy board.

I know all this is so far above your intelligence level, but maybe you can get a 7th grader to explain it to you...

Sure the Federal Reserve is a good thing; but it's only a good thing for the PRIVATE OWNERS of the Federal Reserve. They can print money for FREE, charge banks for it and KEEP all the rest for PROFIT.

Too bad it is the ordinary folks who spend their entire lives saving money ONLY to discover that because of INFLATION, they won't have enough to retire.

One must re-read and re-examine Hitler's famous speech "The Jewish Question" prior to his mind unraveling decision to annihilate people.
To his credit, he pleaded to the world the sense of urgency of what happened at the administrative level within Germany and the harsh implications and reparations slapped on Germany after WWI "By whom?"
