Palm Springs is in CALIFORNIA, 3000 miles from Florida, about 175 miles from your front door on Spruell, or whatever that street is, I have not seen your address plastered all over Topix in week or so.

I'm not going to ask if you got through school, did you even ATTEND school?

Ok, I stand corrected. I thought it was in Florida. I've never been to California and I have no intention of ever going there.

I'm going into the first church I can find and light a candle to my good fortune at that news.

I realize California is about 3 hours west of me, but I see no reason ever to visit there.

Southern or Central Cali, I can understand fully. But coastal and Northern Clifornia are some of the most beautiful and friendly pieces of God's Earth ever created. It's almost a different State and, I think, should be. San Jose and Sacramento are blights, but the coastal Cities !!!

Well, I have heard from time to time that some people want to split California into 2 separate states because northern California is so different from southern California.

But the same thing can be said about splitting New York into 2 different states because Long Island and the City of New York is so completely different than the 55 counties upstate. There was even talk of Long Island seceeding from New York to become a state, as it is one of the largest islands in the U.S., and it's population of more than 7.5 million people makes it more populous than the majority of states in the U.S. But none of those things are ever going to happen, be it California or New York.

Those who have problems with California have problems with the US itself, because demographically CALI has absolutely everything that is found in every other State all smashed together into a giant, multi-climate NY Central Park. There are other similarities with NYC, too.

The Central Coast is just heaven. It's problem is far too many gentrified arses and far too many people. It deserves to be a colossal park.

btw, driven over to Yosemite yet? Tahoe? Sequoia?

Well, having moved to Arizona just 14 months ago, I would like to see a bit of Arizona, as it is a large state, and also has a varied climate and varied topography. I have kept all of my travels in the state so far witin a 60 mile radius of Coolidge. My biggest adventure so far was spending a day hiking Picacho Peak about 20 mile south of here. I haven't been to Phoenix, and see no reason to visit there.

And I really can't take any trips more than 24 hours because I have 3 cats.(Samantha died suddenly in November.:()

When I decide to do any sighseeing in Arizona, I would first like to take some journeys on some of the senic steam railroads they have here as I have been a Ferroequinologist nearly my entire life, and I would like to see Meteor Crater, as I have also been an amateur astronomer for also nearly my entire life.
