Russia is a conservative society. All your proselytizing will get you is a well-deserved backlash from them. First it was the 90's with planeloads of bible belt wacko sects descending on them to proselytize, now it's this crap.
By the way, why aren't you in Singapore, where I think they still throw homosexuals in jail for life. Thailand? not Bangkok I hope.
Proselytizing? I don't think so. I have absolutely no desire to try to educate the Russians on anything; I really couldn't be bothered. I do, however, will do as little as possible to enrich any group, country, or individual that harbors homophobic ignorance. My money; my choice. I'm not part of any organized boycott, just my own personal decision. I will also do my best to see that my tax monies are not used to underwrite events, such as the Olympics, in that godforsaken place, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it, either.

Singapore? Not as dreadful as you make out. A bit boring, but that's about it. Did you know it tied with Denmark as the least corrupt country in the world, ahead of the U.S.? I digress, though. Where I choose to live is my decision. Methinks your cage rattle easily.

Americans are the most ethnocentric people on the planet. Just because we do things a certain way in America doesn't mean that the rest of the world has to follow what we do. Russia should be able to run it's country however they see fit and we as Americans should keep our smug noses out of their business. We have our own issues to be concerned about right here.

Enough for a lifetime, in fact. I lived in NYC for years.

You've never come across sarcasm as a literary tool, have you? LOL

Some gay males were found to have a greater cellular density in the Corpus Callosum that joins the two hemispheres of the brain ... just like women have. This means that we are less driven by the right/left brain dichotomy than the average male, and a greater congruence between rational and emotive thought, higher language skills, and greater emotional sensitivity and intuition.
I'd only call it "brain damage" if you're willing to suggest that women's brains are "damaged".
Go figure.
If they're male, they should have male-type brains so I don't have a problem with that.

The media tends to censor positive depictions of gay couples in films and television shows and households headed by same-sex couples are not permitted to adopt children and do not have the same rights as heterosexual married couples.

China recognizes neither same-sex marriage nor civil unions
The Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China explicitly defines marriage as the union between one man and one woman. No other form of civil union is recognized.
The attitude of the Chinese government towards homosexuality is believed to be "three nos": "No approval; no disapproval; no promotion."
In addition, the Chinese government requires parents adopting children from China to be in heterosexual marriages.

Who is to say "should" about anything that nature does?

Not anymore. lol

And China? We'd never look to China as the standard for anything.

These are our brothers and sisters.

It's easier to point fingers at others instead of taking care of the overwhelming problems at home. It's hopeless!

You're right, there is no 'should' in science. It's 'unnatural'- not normal - for a male homosexual to have a female-type brain.
Not that it's their fault or that they should be persecuted for it. We should focus more on causes.

Did that include China in 2008 or is this all about Russia?

Is it okay with you then to hold the Olympics someplace like Saudi Arabia?

"Normal" is a mental construct that is useful at times and not in others, especially when it is conflated with a covert social-darwinism. However useful, it remains a construct.

Why focus energies on enforcing a conformity that serves no purpose?

Study what causes a platypus to not be a bee in a hive.

A bee hive is a bee hive, not a platypus. Your brain is like a platypus when it should be like a bee hive! LOL

Normal as in it isn't normal for me to have 5 arms or normal for me to be blue eyed if my parents & all grandparents & great grands were all brown eyed. Though possible! But I'm probably adopted or my daddy ain't my daddy!

What's normal in science is different than what we consider 'normal' in society since in society it's subjective and what's normal in science is not.
A male brain formed more like a female brain is not 'normal' and that isn't subjective.
