I agree. We need to find ways to support our Russian LGBT brothers and sisters, not cut them off.

It is important to get their attention, though. We don't need "city relationships" to support Russian LGBT; it's mainly symbolic anyway. Can you think of a better way to let the Russians know they've pissed off most of the world?

You clowns are laughable,if anyone is cutting ties it should be Russia, over US Human rights record, including rendition to torture people in jails all over the world and US support for terrorism.

They know, don't care, and are indoctrinated to believe that they are protecting the Rodina from the corruption of Western decadence. Same crap they swallowed during Soviet times, but now it's got the support of a fascist nationalist concept of identity and the superstitious fears inculcated by their chekist shaman in chief, Kirill of Moscow.

I'm not defending the Russians. The bigger problem is with the Olympic committee that's who should be the real focus, they have a long history of putting people in harms way not just in Russia but several other places with hostile governments

Keep it up, gays. You're the best thing for American-Russian relations since WWII.

American conservatives, usually first in line to denounce Russia for anything at all, are actually giving the Russians high fives over this lukewarm law.

Keep on truckin', jihadis.

You've done a fine job by yourselves. You don't need any more "help"! You've turned from commies to fascists single handedly... congratulations.

Homo is a disease and should be cured.

It is not worth cutting diplomatic ties because of sick and ill people.
Just find a way to cure the disease. and sickness.

Agree with Russia for not allowing sickness spread in their society.

No wonder we have perverts on the loose in American society.

anyone who thinks a man attracted to another man's as.s is normal need to be put on heavy medication and committed to a sanitarium.

There is much to be learned from Russian strict morality standards.
