Legal definitions vary from state to state, but generally, any communication of intent to kill others, written, spoken, or otherwise communicated, qualifies as a terrorist threat.
The message on the shirt in question was a positive one, not a threat to kill anyone.
There are many uses for a gun. Most of them are not to kill people. Hunting, target shooting, collecting, varmint control. Again, its a matter of perspective. So I guess you must be saying is that NO controversial t-shirts should be worn UNLESS it promotes the gay agenda. That's just what I expected.

Racism, The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior or inferior to others.

Bigot, One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

Idiot, A person of profound mental challenge having a mental capacity of someone below three years of age and generally being unable to learn and or accept new ideas.

Hope this helps.

You are making wild assumptions based on what you want to hear rather that what is being said.

Your scenario was a shirt that says: "I have a weapon and plan to use it at Dolllywood", etc. Even if you meant simply "I have a weapon and plan to use it", you used the word "weapon" which communicates intent to harm.

Definition of WEAPON (per Webster)
1: something (as a club, knife, or gun) used to injure, defeat, or destroy
2: a means of contending against another

<quoted text>So what? Answer the question. If a black or Hispanic person is anti-gay, are they racists? I didn't see that in the study.
Racism and homophobia have been shown to be linked to power. We don't know if homophobic blacks and Hispanics are also more likely to be racist. These tests were conducted on Caucasians.

OMG, you don't know if "blacks and hispanics" are likely to be homophobic????? Try talking to some of us....they are and we are. Everyone has hangups...it is up to us to educate them!

I wanted to share a story of what happened at our county's fair this week which for me is much worse than what happened to this couple (not belittling them).
This year, there was a clown heckling people to 'dunk' him. Not only did he insult and degrade people, he said sexually lurid insults. He called people short, fat, prego (for pregnant) and stupid. He was calling children these names. My nephew is a husky boy (plays three sports and is not obese) and taunted him with "Hey fatty - how many cheeseburgers have you had today?" My nephew just turned 10 and instead of getting upset over it, he 'dunked' the jerk. I've worked years in ped nursing and have seen many children (boys and girls) get eating disorders from insensitive comments like this. Unfortunately, I was getting drinks for my family and did not realize the clown was talking to my nephew but I did overhear his rude comments over the PA.
I called the owner of the fair (his son was handling our town's fair) and I explained my concerns and he was very polite and was going to look into the matter. He said that heckling is part of the act but this guy went too far. As I told the owner, I go to many comedian shows (like Lisa Lampanelli) but I know ahead of time, the adult comedians will usually make fun of the crowd. That is expected but nit when you are taking a young child to a 'family' themed park. Turns out, after the incident with my nephew, there was so many complaints that the clown was thrown out of the fair and was fired by the owner's son.
Maybe nothing will come out of my call (I did not intend for the guy to get fired but tone it down) but at least I did what I could to 'stand up' to this disturbing behavior. In the end, that's all we can do.
But what was a little disturbing was some of the t-shirt stands had half-naked women designs or other vulgar images for children to see. I know can't protect them always and I will say these shirts were more offensive than what the lady wore to Dollywood.
I wouldn't have dunked the jerk I would have smacked the piss out of him! That's just wrong in every way!

Right after he got 'dunked', he almost got the crap beat out of him by some kids he mocked before the cops escorted him out & he got fired. So he got what he deserved! LOL!! But I'm proud of how my nephew handled this jerk - he didn't insult him back but showed the jerk he could dunk him and even the worker helping at the stand grinned & winked at my nephew - first time that night the clown got dunked. Sad when a 10 yr old acts more like a 'man' than a physically mature male.

I never said that I didn't know if blacks and Hispanics were capable of being homophobic. I simply said that we don't know if homophobic feelings within those groups are linked to racist feelings. I wouldn't bet money against it.

While perhaps not addressing that specific question, I believe studies show people who harbor prejudice, tend to be prejudiced against multiple groups. With anti-gay prejudice remaining a popular one at this time and place, it is likely to be among the prejudices embraced by those who embrace prejudice.

Only to those who deem it that way because it is uncomfortable to answer it. Typical. If gay's think something is not caustic, neither should others. Talk about bigoted.

As you must know, most words have more than one definition. "A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs. The predominant usage in modern English refers to persons hostile to those of differing sex, race, ethnicity, religion or spirituality, nationality, inter-regional prejudice, gender and sexual orientation, homelessness, various medical disorders particularly behavioral disorders and addictive disorders. Forms of bigotry may have a related ideology or world views.)(Wiki)

One of the most certain ways of recognizing the intolerance of bigotry is when it is written into the law. Your desire to treat gay people as worth less under the law is a clear example of bigotry.

Let me clarify this for you - I left the fair that night & did not know about him being escorted put till the next afternoon. I had left a voice mail earlier for the owner of the fair (spoke to president of the fair board to get his number). The owner called me back - explained the issue and he did not know our fair even had a clown & dunking booth (his son was over it). He said he would look into it.
After I spoke to the owner (this was on Thurs), my mother told me one of my dad's workers stepson and several other children complained to the cops about the clown's remarks and after listening to the clown, he was thrown out and the supervisor (assuming owner's son) also fired him. Also, several of my friends and family saw this happen. And on Sat, my mom also told me (coming from the words of the stepson at their business on Sat) that if the cops had not gotten him out, he would and the others was going to beat him up.
This is in a small town (less than 5 red lights) and stuff travels fast. I spoke to several of the cops that night and the next day spoke to the President of the Fair Board, called the owner long distance and if you do not believe me, I would be more than happy to send you a copy of my phone records plus the name of the all the people that I spoke to if you honestly believe I would make this up. Just give your email or address (I am not posting any of the people's names I spoke to on topix to respect their privacy).
At least I took the time to notify the appropriate figures on an employee insulting and going over the line.

So, would you not be upset if you had your young child at a carnival and an employee was calling the child fat, short or better yet making jokes about you having a small penis?
