This is so unfortunate and reflects badly on our entire community. Regardless of the truly bad things being done by members of the non-gay community, no one of an antigay ilk notices anything until it is done by one of the minority communities and is something they can use to blacken that group's image. I have no further comment to make until the investigation is completed and we have actual facts rather than only rumours.

So when a str8 person does something wrong, does it reflect badly on the "entire str8 community" ?

YUP ! The bombing of Pearl Harbor reflected badly on the "entire str8 community".

I'm certain this girl is completely honest and those that smear her will go straight to hell , where they'll burn throughout eternity for their wickedness in doubting the words of this angel in mortal guise . I've already started to collect for the erection of a monument in honor of her exemplary , saintly life . " Our father who art in heaven .... etc. " ..

How not to get and what not to do with your fifteen minutes of fame in one abject lesson. She wanted attention, she got it. Offensive stupidity compounded, time to throw herself at the mercy of the nearest court after this.

You and your and like minded ilk, fell harder for this story than any of the gay folk. I watched. The life expectancy of most of your posts ain't good, but you and your friends were all riding on the she had it coming for freaking the straight folk bandwagon, until she derailed it. You not only believed someone would leave such a note in the given circumstances, you wish you could have thought of it yourself. Suckas.

I don't think this reflects badly on all gays, but I do think it will cast a whole lot of doubt on anybody who tries to claim that someone stiffed them for a tip because of their "orientation."

The question is whether she really wanted the attention or just did it for the dough.

There are more and more incidents like this being reported, more typically involving pronouncements made on social media ("I have cancer, please send me money for treatment"). It begs the question of whether histrionic personality disorder is becoming more prevalent in the general population. I lived with someone with this condition for a couple of years. Other than doing them in (and at times I was sorely tempted) there is not much you can do for them. They tend to see themselves as being normal and do not seek help. From what I understand, personality disorders typically arise from alienation from one's parents, so maybe all of these have to do with a general decline in parenting skills and parental love.
