Um, I thought you wrote we were already trying to take away your rights. I think that means we already started (in your little mind). No one is interested in taking your rights away. We only want you to prove the ridiculous garbage that comes out of your mouth. All whine and no cheese.

don't have to. already know the answer. look at these threads and the laws that reps try to get passed or don't allow. that's indicator enough.

looking further, look at the bulk of the republican supporters....they're of the mind that their particular brand of religion is the only one, laws should be enacted and enforced that are based upon their religion (denomination) and screw everyone else.

Your argument rests on whether or not nudity is immoral, and that's an opinion. The natural state of the human body is a biological fact; you are the one making it a moral issue. Kids see themselves nude. BTW--you are aware that there are family nudist colonies and groups, right?
The more inhibited people are about nudity, the more prurient their mindset is.

That's where we differ philosophically cpeter1313. As a moral relativist, you probably believe there are no moral absolutes. As such, it would be perfectly fine with you if naked men were allowed the "freedom" to walk around in public with their genitals at kids’ eye levels - under certain cultural conditions. I on the other hand believe it is absolutely wrong (because of immutable monotheistic principles) for any man to expose himself, especially in an aroused state, while in the presence of children.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the moral relativists who accused Scott Wiener, DFL of being a "prude, a puritan, a Nazi, a fascist" for partially banning public nudity were also proponents of non-traditional marriage.

Indeed, the social acceptance, indoctrination, and institutionalization of a moral relativist philosophy can quickly pervert a society.

Rose Feratu- I welcome you to explain the theory of moral relativism, and why this ethical philosophy should be universally accepted or supersede other ethical frameworks.

Thank you.

Then why should society ever be accepting of something immoral and debase as same sex marriage and two lesbians having anal sex.

Because liberals want nothing more than to "fundamentally transform" this nation from one that respects America's morals and traditions, to a "if it feels good, do it" society of anarchists. Libs are living in the bizarro world where cops are the bad guys while law breaking Occupy pukes are heroes The rich are demonized for being successful while the "bridge card" toting parasites of society are looked at as being treated unfairly. And the gays are hailed as being courageous, for nothing more than having a sexual perversion while the normal people who oppose gay "marriage" are viewed with disdain and hatred for simply standing by their morals.

Ok, so public nudity where children are present will NEVER be acceptable to you. Got it. But what would you do if the state you live in decides the social norms against public nudity are anachronistic, invalid and worthless?

Should the philosophy of moral relativism prevail to shape American laws, as secularists are working hard to accomplish, it wouldn't matter if you or other lone voices disapprove of public nudity because the major arguments against it would be based on religious principles that violate the concept of separation of church and state.

Suppose you try to stop the libertarian nudist movement. If recent history is a guide, you will be ridiculed, labeled a prude, ethnocentric, bigot or maybe a "puritan, Nazi, and fascist," as Scott Wiener was called in 2012 for trying to partially ban public nudity in San Francisco.

In recent decades, American secularists have made tremendous headway to reshape and redefine our country’s social mores, and laws based on an intrinsically flawed ethical theory.

For example, in May of 2013 the New York City Police Department instructed the city’s 34,000 police officers that should they encounter a woman in public who is topless but obeying the law, they should not arrest her.

The NYPD’s directive came after several years of litigation and protest (e.g., People v. Ramona Santorelli and Mary Lou Schloss) from vocal secular groups. These activists successfully argued that indecency laws preventing women from baring their breasts in public was discriminatory and unconstitutional (sound familiar?).

Today, parents in New York have lost a legitimate social reason for persuading their teenage daughters to cover their chest in public; and secularists couldn’t be more proud about that.

Maybe it's because women have every legal right to walk around topless in NYC; we try not to arrest people for not breaking the law. What would be the LEGAL basis for making toplessness legal for men but illegal for women?

I've seen people leave cults. It is difficult and there is culture shock and a long period of adjustment and deprogramming from years of brainwashing, but it can be done. I have hope for you. Not a lot, but I have hope.

America's morals include treating all people equally, regardless of their gender orientation...

your morals are from an age gone by...an ugly age.

<quoted text>so in your way of thinking "he who has the money & guns sets the rules"....well, buddy, that flies in the face of the intent of the constitution. our founding fathers constructed a government with the idea that people, the citizens wouldn't be oppressed by governement or hindered by interference in our lives by the government or our neighbors. the whole idea was that the ruling class in europe (you know, those guys with the money and guns back in the mother country) was wrong and oppressive because they foisted their will upon the people. so that's what you think would be a good way of living here in america?

that sure tells us just about everything we need to know about you.
Are you an idiot with blinders on too?? You don't know crap about me except that I'm right and all you can do is skate around the truth! You say there is no democracy but you will see that the people who are against gay marriage will prevail! All you gays do is cry about rights, but let me tell you, you've got more rights than I do in this country because of your sick sexual perversion! Now that's wrong!!!

Nice try but all the major polls now show that a majority of ALL Americans are now in favor of marriage equality! Your post is laughable at best! Get a clue hate boy! California will return in the next week! Ain't it great!
