Not one marriage law required fertility or even a desire to reproduce. This isn't about cult marriage, but legal marriage.

You gays going to get medical procedures so you can have babies too? Turkey baste each others asses? Yeah that's what marriage is all about! Why the hell don't you just live together and play dress up and leave everybody alone ?

Look, SCOTUS is going to more than likely toss Section 3 of DOMA.......giving ALL legally married couples the same rights, benefits and privileges of marriage.
The ruling regarding Prop 8 is either going to uphold the 9th's appeal ruling basically tossing it or overturning the 9th's ruling and maintaining Judge Walker's ruling......both have the same effect......Prop 8 would be gone and Marriage Equality will return to California!!!

I have no leaders; there are merely people whom I agree with. I make up my own mind, after doing appropriate research.

Funny, you are the one who seems to be taking exception at the concept of religious freedom and equality under the law. Why should anyone else be inconvenienced because you don’t like the laws here. Don’t like it? You move.
The Coal Handlers Son wrote:
So the next one of you that says it has nothing to do with religion is wrong! You have no argument!
Actually, it doesn’t have anything to do with religion. Religious marriage and civil marriage have always beens separate entities, and that is as it should be. If on gets married in a church, but does not civilly marry in the eyes of the state, does not attain any of the protections of the law generally associated with marriage. One must go to the courthouse, or a lawyer, and file for a legal marriage license in order for the legal rights and protections of marriage to be enacted. Similarly one can get civilly married and obtain the legal rights and protections of marriage without the marriage having anything to do with the church.

The two are separate issues, and thus far you have offered no compelling state interest served by denying same sex couples equal protection of the law to legal marry. In fact, you’ve yet to put forth an argument that even has a rational basis.

There are states you can marry your cousin in. Go here, or advocate for your state to overturn the ban. Damn, heteros are lazy.

Homosexuals lost at the French Supreme Court.

Homosexuals will lose at the US Supreme Court--and be told, since they persist in asking, that yes blacks are better than homosexuals.

Je suis mieux que les homosexuals per la cours supreme en France et aux Etats Unis.

Why? Is it because you are afraid for people to have the same human rights as you claim as yours? Or are you afraid that someone who is homosexual will prove to be a better husband/wife than you?

Fundamentalist Christians have a very high divorce rate. Those divorces are caused by everything from abuse to use of pornography to homosexuality. So many Christians won't make it in the world you foresee as a 'perfect' world.

People are people. There are Christians who sit in church every Sunday knowing that their mistress will be waiting for them to have dinner on Monday evening and that adulterous sex will follow.

There are preachers who preach against drinking, homosexuality, adultery, and all manner of 'sin' while committing those very 'sins' themselves.

People are people. Christians fare no better in marriage than non-Christians. In fact, the more stridently someone preaches against something, the more you can know that this very thing is his or her own struggle in life.

Jesus never said a single word about homosexuality. God gave Moses the ten commandments and there was nothing about homosexuality. Of the 613 laws given to the Jews in the OT, there is not one about homosexuality. The only mention of it is by men...priests or preachers who didn't pay any attention to what God said, much less what he didn't say!

Be at peace within yourself. If you spend your time creating peace within you, you will not have time to hate others. It really is just that simple.

Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination
Are you still under the Old Covenant? Leviticus is the book of laws (some given directly by God, some given by priests like the one you named) under the Old Covenant.

If you use a single law from the book of Leviticus to prove your point, you do not believe in a New Covenant made by Jesus. Also, if you use one of those laws, then you have to use all of them and not cherry pick the ones that help you hate those different from you. You cannot choose part of the old laws and part of the new laws and still say you live under a new covenant and don't have to obey the old ones.

You are the one in error, not those who leave the OT out of their arguments. You will of course do as you please for you seem to have a need to cherry pick your Bible verses to justify your bigotry and hate.

Homosexuals, face reality:

If there were a trust-fund billioniare like the homosexual in Colorado (Atlantic Monthly article, They Won't Know What Hit Them, about how this homosexual billionaire "aborts" politicians at the local level if they are anti-homosexual) who supported:

drug use
prostitution
polygamy
NAMBLA (NAMBLA and homosexuals have troubling ties)
bestiality

do you doubt he could buy what you just purchased?

He would use you as precedent (you're just another legal stepping-stone, just like everything else, so get over yourself) just as you to the outrage of blacks are using them?
