Just goes to show that while Canada may be far ahead of the US in terms of legal rights for gays, it doesn't mean there is no homophobia here. And I personally believe Ottawa is a rather homophobic town. While I did not experience any direct homophobia during my time living there, I noticed that gay people were very uptight and closety and took off to Montreal all the time rather trying to establish more GLBT things (orgaanizations, not just bars) in town.

Hey troll, I'll bet you have a lot of knowledge about incarceration, since it occupied such a large period in your life. Whose bitch were you in the slammer?

If you could learn how to take your own showers; you wouldn't need a $98,000 gay guard to hose you down; sugar

I noticed something. Ranger was awarded $244,242 in lost wages. Of the $98,000, "that compensation includes $45,000, which the board said is the largest amount it has ever awarded for breaching the Human Rights Code and the collective agreement. The rest was because the board said the ministry failed to find him a suitable new job for several years."

It will be interesting to see why his tormenter is suing now.
