One thing the U.S. COULD do to show it's displeasure at countries passing these types of laws, is to simply bar ANYONE from those countries from entering the U.S. for any reason.

(I realize they will simply then go to Mexico and cross our border, but that's another issue that The Obamaniac refuses to confront).

Except that the African countries who are pushing these anti-gay laws are being encouraged to do so by American right-wing Christian groups.

Perhaps the first step for Americans to handle this issue is to stop exporting hate in the first place?

Actually, what we need to do is allow gays and lesbians from this country (and all other countries attempting to pass similar bills) to come to this country immediately without question, because of this political and government persecution.

You can be a firm believer in the freedom of speech while also advocating for removing people who are abusing that to further their agenda at the expense of people who have nothing to do with them. Especially when it threatens lives.

It won't be long until African nations are sending missionaries to help the heathens in this one.

Without question? Sounds nice, but how do you determine they are gay or lesbian? We get a lot of refugee applicants here in Canada who pretend to be GBLT when in fact they are not. It sounds weird but it really happens. And most of them are Africans (the ones from Iran or Arab countries claiming refugee status are typically more legit).

The simplest thing to do, and te RIGHT thing to do is.....

NO MORE IMMIGRATION TO TE U.S. BY ANY ONE AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON !

There is no "RIGHT" to immigrate into the United States !

Problem solved !

Let them go to one of the "Worker's Paradises" called Cuba or Canada.

Most of our innovation and genius, and the advantage that comes from it, has been the result more of brain-drain from other places than from any innate talent on the part of the general population.

You are a case in point, it seems.

(Again, sorry about Ms. Samantha's passing.)

I approach this from a strictly environmental perspective. There is a LIMIT to how many humans a given area of land can sustain. More humans in the U.S. means MORE pollution, MORE water usage, MORE animals that are slaughtered for food (I'm a strict vegetarian for religious reasons), and further dregadation of our environment in a myriad of ways.

Our resources are NOT UNLIMITED, and as a sovereign nation, we have an ABSOLUTE RIGHT to say who can, and cannot, enter the U.S.

And I say NO MORE IMMIGRATION TO THE U.S. because it is depleting our resources at a faster rate, and degrading our environment at a faster rate.

Let them go to one of the "Worker's Paradises" called Cuba or Canada.

With roughly the population density of New York City, the entire world population could fit in Texas.
And we grow enough food in the US to feed the whole planet while we pay most farm land owners to leave their fields empty.

Your argument is ridiculous.

That happens here too, but more often it is with Indians in arranged marriages where one is a Canadian citizen of Indian descent and the other is an Indian national. The latter (usually the woman) comes here on a pretense of love and acceptance of the arrangement than divorces the guy after she gets her permanent residency and screws him over.

Obviously not ALL land is suitable for human habitation. Otherwise we would have millions of people living in the Sahara desert (which WAS lush and green at one time).

And land is NOT the only consideration. There is also a source of clean water needed, along with suitable sewage, and cropland (People don't live in themiddle of a wheatfield.

Plus you have to have solid waste area.

it's RIDICULOUS for you to say there is lenty of land availabel for the billions of people on this planet. The fact is, that there ISN'T !
