I support arlene in not doing gay weddings
Its disgusting
The reverend fred phelps would applaud arlene in her stand against declining moral values in this country.

Who would want ANYTHING from Fred Phelps? Actually I find Bigotry and Self-Righteousness equally lacking in 'moral values' and disgusting.

You can put them all in the same basket: Phelps, Perkins, Gallagher, Fischer, and flower-lady Arlene. And don't forget to include Al Qaeda. They all have the same stand on this issue.

I for one would prefer not to be associated with Al Qaeda. I suspect others would rather not, also, but that's where they're at.

From seeing the news interview with the woman I don't really believe she hates gays or the men suing her and that she sincerely believe what she is doing is right but the fact is she is morally and legally wrong for what she did and should have to answer for it. She is entitled to her beliefs but not entitled to discriminate based on them when she runs a business that serves the public and if denying certain customers service based on certain things would violate local, state, or federal law(s). She can provide service without personally condoning the marriage but like the rest of us in the workplace she should keep personal matters out of work.

The right to refuse service is a wonderful thing! Homosexuality is an abomination/obamanation! Two dongs dont make a right! Give em a jug of vaseline a do not disturb placard to hang on the door knob, and back in the closet you go.

I really don't mind breaking this to you but the right to refuse service has been far from absolute for decades now. The state has the authority to step in and tell business owners that they are out of line when they deny service based on suspect classifications. With your rather obvious psychological issues, it would probably be best if you don't try going into business.

Who decides those classifications?

I do not know if the Florist has that right and the court needs to answer if her Free Exercise Clause is being violated. Does the guaranteed right to public access mean the business owner's private right to exclude is violated? How is public access defined by the courts?

In the particular case at hand, the Washington state legislature.

Those classifications can be decided at the local, state and federal levels of government.

I agree and the federal level has the finally decision on the matter regardless of what the state make law.
