Many may consider it a fact that Christianity bans gay marriage, but at least one bishop begs to differ.

A crowd packed the Congregational Church of Exeter Monday night to listen to a talk and Q&A from Gene Robinson, the openly gay Bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire in the Episcopal Church ...

You have failed to cite ANY Bible translation, ancient Bible text, or Judeo-Christian tradition to the contrary. Of course, that is because none exists.
You choose to live in open rebellion against God's Commands against all homosexual behavior. Where do you think THAT is going?
The only thing that the Bible repeatedly says it to love God and your neighbor and DO NOT JUDGE. Romans 2:1.

You fundie dummies have no idea how to read the bible in its original context
.
In the primitive language of the bible's day; they were trying to describe how a straight person had rather die (a level of disgust) than to get it on with another person of the same sex

The opposite holds true for a gay person

I think responding to his rants merely encourages him. If everyone just completely ignored him, he'd eventually go somewhere else to haunt.

Topis should have an "ignore" feature like aol has so you can make someone's posts invisible to you. I don't know why they don't do that ?

Another idea is to invent a secret GAY code such as the "Lumber & Hardware Forum" which only we know secretly means the "Gay/Lesbian Forum" where we can be left undisturbed.

It appears that your Lie Detector needs to go back to the shop for recalibration.
Actually his lie detector works perfectly, it's the owner that needs to learn its calibrations. If you notice, each and every time it goes off, is right before he regurgitates his spam chunks chock full of them. It seems to be working fine to me, he just doesn't want to admit who all that buzzing is for.

Those in search of a universal biblical standard might want to consider these verses:

Matthew 7:12,: So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Galatians 5:14: The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

James 2-8 But if you keep the greatest law of all, as it is given in the holy Writings, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself, you do well:

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:'Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."

Mark 12:30-31: And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Luke 10:27: He answered:‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and,‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Romans 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:9 The commandments,“Do not commit adultery,”“Do not murder,”“Do not steal,”“Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule:“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

1 John 4:21: And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

James 4-11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

Romans 12-10: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Leviticus 19:18: You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

Leviticus 19:34: But the stranger that dwells with you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Luke 6:31: Do to others as you would have them do to you.

John 13:34: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

John 15:17: This is my command: Love each other.

Matthew 7:1: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

Luke 6:37: "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Romans 2-1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.

James 4:11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.

No, He's not. The bible certainly doesn't say that. He is defined as The Creator Of All Things.

Well then,... How the Heck can you continue to call yourself a Good Lutheran?!

Sheeesh! Had me fooled!

Just for that, I'm scheduling time-out for hoisting a cold St. Pauli Girl!

No pot, no illegal drugs, no meat. I can understand all of that! But, unless one has a problem with alcohol, such abstinence may not be a very healthy habit. Your choosing, of course.
