"The Adventures Of Superman" ceased production in 1958, shortly after I was born, and what's amazing is that Jack Larson and Noel Neill are still alive, nearly 6 decades later.

You sure seem like a liar to me, HORACE, or RUDY or PIERRE or any of your other false personalities.

It's like you're stuck on "It's a Small World" ride at one of the Disney parks eternally.

It's humor. Watch a Mel Brooks movie and see the ultimate in racial, gay, and anti semantic humor. If you cannot laugh at yourself, you just won't get it, don't go to see it.

Mel Brooks could never be accused of being anti semantic.

I love most Mel Brooks movies, but I have always found his gay humor insulting not funny.

Now not to be accused of not appreciating gay humor, "FRASIER" is one of my FAV series ever, and it has a LOT of gay humor that is VERY funny.

(And a LOT of gay actors, both as regular cast members, and guests also).

i HATED "CHEERS" and nearly every actor on it, and probably only sw 2 or 3 episodes of it, so when I first started watching "FRASIER", I was very surprised that I found the show so damn funny, and so well-written that i fell in love with it.

It probably has had more gay actors on the show, both as regular cast members, and as guests, than any tv series ever.

Yeah, I tried watching Cheers on Netflix a few months back, absolutely HATED it. My dad banned it when we were kids so naturally I had to see what I missed. I didn't miss much. If I was growing up nowadays I don't think I'd be allowed to watch anything! We couldn't watch Cheers, Rosanne, Golden Girls, stuff like that. It was all Cosby, full house, and Family Matters. Dad likes Fraiser, though- I don't know!

It is hard to take a series out of its time. Many shows were great at the time of their making, but just don't hold up as the world changes.

No, he watched those. I think Golden girls was because of the sex. Like I said, I don't think I'd watch anything if I grew up in these times :)

I don't know about Maude. I'm a late 70s baby, I did watch All in the Family reruns.

Really? The guy who created and wrote the earlier best episodes of "Frazier" is gay and his take was to treat Frazier and his brother Niles as gay men, who happened to be straight, in the world of the show. Thus their silly joy of opera and fine clothes and fancy restaurants and not getting their red neck dad at all.
