DEMAND that The Obamaniac return our FREEDOMS !
He has been trying to turn the balance of power away from the "Imperial Presidency" back to Congress, but they don't see it. His approach to his healthcare reform was to try to get Congress to do their job --- the right thing, but they fumbled the ball very badly and produced something SO carved up by stupid political rivalries that it's going to be very problematic.

Similarly, he pushed decision authority back towards Congress regarding Syria in such a manner that would not scuttle the very necessary War Powers Act which has been sorely abused, and become a hallmark of the overreaching of the increasingly "Imperial Presidency".

When the historians and political analysts finally get around to a distanced perspective on Mr. Obama, this effort to return as far as possible to the Enumerated Powers will be one of the signature elements defining his Presidency.

The lost freedoms that I speak of are far more local, and definitely out of the purview of the Federal.

Benjamin Martin was a fictional character. And that scene with the burning of the church in that movie was also fictional.

And where was the largest battle of The Revolutionary War fought ?

Of course Benjamin Martin was fictional, but the point of the quote remains ... quite validly, too.

No. You ignored my point entirely, sort of like you do with thread topics.
