And the courts would still have to decide yet whether the Columbus law violates Catholic doctrine. If it is ruled that it doesn't, she's plain SOL. Why? The courts have not yet ruled against religious organizations when it is a matter of their doctrine. Look it up. And google other cases when the RCC has fired employees for violating the moral clause of the contract. It's happened not only with gays but with hetereos who have carried on extra marital affairs or were living together but not married.

When someone indicates, however indirectly, that they are the grand determiner of what other people need, yes.

It seemed obvious from the message I replied to that you were upset that people bought what they didn't need, so you might SAY you don't give a shit, but your other posts tell a different story.

It must be awful going through life constantly contradicting yourself.

Thanks for the clarification...There ya go Clayton 'twinkle toes', this is a very good excuse to be bigoted against the RCC....their ignorance, greed and forced repression.

Who doesn't buy stuff they don't need? Heck, even when I was young, poor, and newly married, we bought stuff we didn't necessarily "need," ie, not required for survival. Sometimes we want entertainment or some trifling bauble, or even a big new house if we can afford it. Not sure how or even why the "consumerist" mindset even got brought into this discussion other than a third grade p!$$!ng match: "My values are MUCH better than YOURS".

No, there is no ignorance, greed, or forced repression going on here.

CHOSEN values? How is that then translated to ignorance, greed, or FORCED repression?

A contract IS a mutually agreed-to set of terms. Both signed the dotted line. If one violates, then the contract is broken.

You have it backwards.
Rather "sin" begets "iniquity" and you have the downward moral cycle of this regime that has departed from a solid Biblical foundation: Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, it is abomination." Once this foundation is torn down the next step is polygamy than a return to pre-Christian barbarism! The only thing that prevents complete moral chaos is the Church which is under furious attack by those whose lifestyles conflict with God ordained truths.

Seems like the underlying motivation for covetousness.
What?

What Bible are you reading that approves of that which God condemns?
