Carla Hale, 59, a lesbian P.E. teacher, has filed a grievance against the diocese of the Ohio Catholic school where she worked for 19 years until administrators fired her for "violating moral law." According to The Columbus Dispatch , Hale's sexual orientation became public when an obituary for her late mother published Hale's name along with the ... (more)

Well, a few thoughts.
1) The issue has nothing to do with divorce.
2) The issue IMHO is one that breaches the divide between church and state. This issue is one of doctrine within the RCC. The RCC does not teach that homosexuality is wrong. It teaches that the act of sexual relations between two people of the same sex is wrong.
Now, we can argue that until the cows come home. It's in the hands of the courts. However, the courts have not yet intervened when it was a matter of religious doctrine.
If God is protecting the faithful why do they need special rights?

Calm your hysterics, meatball.
I posted an older link from the CDC, not WND.
Here is the correct link...
http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/statistics/surveillanc...
The data at the CDC link corrobates everything I've already stated.
Your drama queen hysterics don't help your cause, meatball. In fact, your hysterics reinforce a queer stereotype.
Last time I posted these HIV facts, a stupid woman responded with "so what?".
For victim cult commune people, ignorance is bliss.
That's better. It's good to stay current, and to identify which populations aren't getting the message. I imagine the boys and girls at the CDCP are really scratching their heads about the high numbers in that age bracket.

With the ready availability and relative inexpensiveness of the mouth swab test, and the AMA's new policy for 100% testing of all clinical patients, I expect that numbers will continue to rise. Of course, these numbers will be skewed in favor of those who actually see physicians regularly, rather than just under acute or emergency conditions. That bar graph reflects this.

It is as I knew already. You are a surly intolerant thug and ONLY people in your immediate circle matter. No one else exists for you.

I live in the beautiful San Francisco bay area. What's not to be happy about? You sure you got the right guy fruitcake?
Oh, hush. I meant your pals who think like you do in Ohio, and you know that.

I was IN San Francisco about 10 days ago, we went to the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park to see the Vermeer exhibit. The main piece was "the Girl With the Pearl Earring" often called the Northern 'Mona Lisa'. I like it better. You should go out there...the exhibit is there through June, next stop Atlanta then New York then back home again, since their museum in Delft will be refurbished by then. That painting may never leave Holland again, so don't miss it.

If I had KNOWN, if I had thought of it, I would have set up a coffee date between you and me at Peet's Coffee on Market Street below Noe...my favorite coffee shop in the world.

For some reason, I find you hard to hate. I think it's because you, unlike so many, actually have a sense of humor, while the others take themselves so DEADLY seriously. That is a dangerous way to be, angry and humorless.

The irony...

Columbus, Ohio: Could it be America's Most Underrated Gay City?

It's a state capital with a huge university, scads of hip and gay-friendly restaurants and bars, a wealth of art galleries and funky boutiques, and a progressive and bustling gay scene. You might think I'm talking about Madison, Wis., or Austin, Texas, two much-hyped (deservingly so) destinations with strong gay followings. But in this case, I'm referring to Columbus, Ohio, which after having visited nearly every decent-size city in the country over the past decade, I consider to be one of the nation's most underrated gay cities.

It's hard to say why Columbus has a larger and more vibrant gay scene than any other city between Chicago and Washington, D.C., but somehow Ohio's most populous metropolis has earned this reputation. So the next time you're looking for an easy-to-reach, friendly, and relatively affordable weekend vacation, consider planning a gay Columbus getaway.

I'd rather spend an hour in California than a lifetime in Ohio.

Oh, I've been in Ohio many times, during road trips with my parents when I was younger. It wasn't so bad, but if a state can raise and support an angry hater like YOU, there must be a problem.

Tell you what, when your car won't start and your driveway is buried under 3 feet of snow, and you're late for work, come tell me how HORRIBLE it is here when the morning temps are 65 next winter.

Have resided somewhere in Ohio all my life. Have spent considerable time in California due to the fact I have family there (Big Sur) and for work.

Tell ya what, look at it in a balanced perspective. Snow days? Negligible here, but myself, I like them. Hate the snow, love the time off of work. Highways are a mess for a short time after a heavy snowfall, but typically, are cleared quickly. It's the idiots who don't know how to drive in bad weather, maybe imports from sunnier climes? Don't know. Could be the no-fault insurance holders from Michigan, goo.

I've also sat in heavy traffic on the 101 out of San Fran. All six lanes, shut down. For considerable periods. Missed a flight once because of it.

You also have the Emerald Triangle, with some very paranoid folks living in the region...

But yes, I'll take my Asilomar coastal region when possible. But I'll live here. Cost of living, half of what it is in California.
