Utah and I disagree. The judge was wrong and the state constitution bans it therefore the gay marriages were illegal.
These activist judges should be forbidden from legislating from the bench. It should cost them their jobs.

The Utah Attorney General disagrees with your usual stupid and uninformed personal opinion.

An excerpt from a letter he sent to all country clerks and attorneys in Utah:

"Although the State of Utah cannot currently legally recognize marriages other than those between a man and a woman, marriages between persons of the same sex were recognized in the state of Utah between the dates of December 20, 2013 until the stay on January 6, 2014. Based on our analysis of Utah law, the marriages were recognized at the time the ceremony was completed.

While the validity of the marriages in question must ultimately be decided by the legal appeals process presently working its way through the courts, the act of completing and providing a marriage certificate for all couples whose marriage was performed prior to the morning of January 6, 2014, is administrative and consistent with Utah law. Therefore, it is recommended that county clerks provide marriage certificates to all persons whose marriages were solemnized during this period as an administrative function and not a legal function. This would allow, for instance, same-sex couples who solemnized their marriage prior to the stay to have proper documentation in states that recognize same-sex marriage."

So even the Utah AG acknowledges the marriage performed during the window between the District court ruling and the stay are valid and can be legally recognized by the federal government and other states. Utah just refuses to give them legal recognition until the appeals process makes a final determination. It doesn't change the fact, however, that those marriages were legally contracted during a period in which Utah's prohibition against them was not in effect. The stay does not apply retroactively and has no power to void those marriages.

Actually, stupid, uninformed bigots like you should refrain from offering opinions on issues of which they have no knowledge or understanding. Perhaps we should suspend your citizenship as well since newly naturalized citizens likely know more about how our legal system works than you do.

This should be easy enough for even you to understand. You can't have gay marriage in a state that bans gay marriage. Those marriages don't exist.
Clearly the marriage equality did exist before the stay. They are marriages recognized as such by the federal government. We'll see what happens with the state as far as more same sex marriages going forward.

You did not address your insane lying on the other point: Contrary to your jeeesus exhortation to the contrary he ruling has not been found incorrect.

The fact that you personally find the pro marriage equality ruling on equal protection grounds incorrect due to your sexual illnesses is a given. But you're not a judge. You are a stupid, backwards bigot.
