" the parliament acted in line with the wish of the majority. We are in a democratic setting, the President has no choice than to bow to the wish of the people."

Why can't America be like Nigeria?

It's truly pathetic that so many African countries have not been able to throw off the chains of the so-called morality that was imposed on them by western imperialists. Homophobia was never an African value -- until the Europeans arrived and conquered them, with their armies and missionaries. Now the European armies are gone, but not the remnants of their middle-age morality. These African leaders don't even know their own history enough to recognize it for what it is.

Because this country isn't a Burger King....have it your way. America has it's problems, but it's a decent country that has enough sense to know that human beings are human beings. Wish I could say the same for you.
