I'm not convinced of much of anything by the article. Without having read the book, which seems to serve no purpose but to possibly make a little money, it looks like a collection of random hearsay and such highly reliable sources as an "anonymous letter." Looks like "the high journalistic standards" are comparable to the National Enquirer, World News Daily, or Fox.
Our desire to make sense out of it, requires overlooking that hate based on prejudice is irrational. Robbery was a motive for money, but it should be clear this torture murder was motivated by irrational hate, not money, drugs, or other excuses.
